Excellent replacement
I like Rainbird irrigation products. Easy to install and works perfectly. The original was 17 years old and was still working but the joint at the socket was leaking- can’t beat that for longevity.

I Use These on All 9 of My Irrigation Zones
I have a 9-zone irrigation system and use these Rain Bird valves on every zone. They've been very reliable and have worked well enough that I've continued using the same valve throughout the entire system. They're straightforward to install, operate reliably, and shut the water off completely when the zone finishes. The 1-inch threaded connections also make installation or replacement easy without having to glue the valve directly into the plumbing. With nine of these in service, I've had plenty of experience with them and have been very happy with their performance. They're simple, dependable irrigation valves that do exactly what they're supposed to do. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

They did exactly what they should and were easy to install.
I had to change up my sprinkler box, and put new valves in. These worked very well and made the whole process easy to switch up. They worked exactly as they should, and were easy to install.
