An excellent substitute nut to use in cookies.
I really thought I was ordering Macadamia nuts, so I was justifiably surprised to receive Brazil nuts. But, all was good because I actually liked the Brazil nuts - the size of the pieces, the freshness, and the flavor. I was thinking that I was going to add the Macadamia nuts to chocolate chip cookies, but I am here to testify that Brazil nuts are really really good in chocolate chip cookies. Passthe tip on.

Sooooo GOOD! I have Hashimotos/Hypothyroid. I recently went on an anti inflammatory diet. Heard about these as an aid to getting better. Two or three a day is all I need. I take them daily like a medicine, hahaha. Selenium is so beneficial.

Broken Expectations
I was shocked when the package arrived. The Brazil Nuts were a mixture of smaller "stunted" nuts or broken pieces. The bag contained a lot of broken pieces of the dark skin of the nuts, that powdered the nuts making them look unappetizing. I purchased the nuts because my medical doctor told me to buy Brazil Nuts and take two/day. I was used to seeing Brazil Nuts as they present in a tin of mixed nuts. This was nothing like it. It is hard to know how many pieces equal two nuts. On the other hand the taste of the nuts is acceptable. I may buy again, but I will first shop for a brand with larger nuts and less scum.
