So cute, fun & educational!
Bought this for my 2 year old grandson. He loves it! After only a couple months he knows all the names of the fish. This is a quick and easy activity to take on the run and love that it comes with 2 fishing rods to accommodate 2 players. Wish there was more tension in the rod or fishing line - the weight of the fish sometimes pulls the line out when we reel in the fish. I see from older reviews that the company has made improvements to the tackle box, however the latch broke immediately and now the lid won't stay closed. I had to wrap a velcro strap around the box to keep it closed. Would still recommend this game for any toddler.

Nice Fishing game for kids!
It's a beautiful, well made set. The fishing rods seem sturdy and of good quality (the fishing lines worked consistently well and they're a great size for children's hands! The 26, A-Z pieces are colorful, the magnets seem well set in each piece and they all work!! There are numbers on the back of each piece, so children can fish and then count or have an adult count up the points to see who wins! I like the fact that on the side with the magnet is the letter and on the back, non magnetic side, is the name of the animal that's on the front side. The cardboard tackle box is a nice touch; it's sturdy and holds all of the items of the game. It even comes with a two dimentional, soft cloth, pond!! The reason for not giving it five stars is because it had two of the same letter and was missing one. I'm sure it was a quality control problem. Thoroughly inspect the game, when it arrives, and don't order it when you need it in a hurry.

Update - company replaced faulty handles and kiddos now LOVE this game!
UPDATEI originally gave this 2 stars since both handles wouldn’t fit into the fishing poles the first time around. The company reached out and wanted to make sure I received handles that worked, so they quickly sent out another set with handles that screwed right in! I’m very impressed with the customer service and follow through and now my kiddos LOVE this game since they’re able to use it correctly with the fishing poles!————————(Original review)My kids LOVE the magnetic fishing aspect of this game, but we ran into a major manufacturing flaw - the wooden handles on both fishing poles won’t attach to the plastic poles. The threads on the wood handle and inside the plastic pole don’t match up. I’ve tried swapping each handle onto either pole, I’ve tried twisting it in both directions, but nothing I do will catch the threads. Because of this, the wooden handles will not stay attached and my kids have resorted to playing with the pole by holding the long top part (not the handle since it won’t stay on) and dangling it over the fish. They still enjoy the idea of the game (magnetic fishing), but from my perspective, the handle flaw takes away a lot of convenience and the basic idea of fishing with a fishing pole. Plus, when I get a game, I expect it to be working properly. Giving this 2 stars because the wooden fish are made well and the container it came in is sturdy, but I would be hesitant to purchase again for fear the handles still wouldn’t attach. (Hopefully we just got faulty handles!)*** picture is of the handle pushed in as far as it’ll go, it falls right back out since the thread inside of it doesn’t catch (and will just spin in circles)

Nice size
The poles actually cast, the sea animals are a nice size and it is fairly easy to "catch" them with the magnetized poles. Both the 2 and 4 year old liked playing with it, although we were finding the "fish" in and under the furniture because the 2 year old would cast after he caught it. The older boy goes fishing with his father and grandpas so it was a nice way to extend that experience. He also gets to teach his younger brother how to fish.

So glad this was worth it
I was overwhelmed originally seeing how many "fishing" games were online and I tried to pick the best one based on reviews. I'm so glad I chose this one! Everything is exactly as described and the colors are great. My 21 month old has most of the animals down pat now and is just getting to the point where she can reel them in. The box it comes in is durable and good looking. The little wooden piece that screws into the handle has to be gently screwed in while moving it in a circular motion until you find the groove. It isn't difficult for me to do but I could see an impatient person just trying to jam it in and then thinking it doesn't fit.

It is not worth the money
My 2 year old was interested in it at first, but after the first time playing with it the clip on the fishing box broke and he barely pulled on it. Also, the magnetic fish are nice but the dot that connects them to the fishing pole is small so hard for my 2 year old to hit.
