Earthquake EA4F 4-Inch Diameter 36-Inch Long Earth Auger with Fishtail Point

I enjoyed using this. It was solid and the spring gave it some variable stopping/wiggle room when i hit a rock. It did not sheer off like the other one i had bought so that was cool. Hate that its only connectable via bolt but I suppose due to its nature thats the name of the game.

I bought this for my husband to dig field post holes on our ranch. It works great, digging 3ft deep holes in a matter of minutes as well as saved his back from having to dig the holes manually. He loves it and only recommends getting the pole extension to stretch the auger assembly from the motor so it doesn't stop too close to the ground.

works well with the 43 CC quake motor head......i use for small 4 inch post holes on farm.....the fishtail gets in the way... a neighbor recommended to remove it to increase your post digging power...

This was bought to expand my Earthquake auger's capability to dig smaller holes. My auger came with an 8" size but it was difficult to dig with it. This 4" size is much easier to use and is good for smaller fence posts and similar things.

I wish they made a 3 3/4" bit for the 4" poles I used but this bit worked great, no problem with roots. Would have liked a spring on it but I used a probe to check for rocks before digging. Very happy with the quality.

This fits the motorized auger from Harbor Freight!!! It has a 7/8" shaft. I had to buy a $2 bolt to get it attached. Use a socket head allen bolt as it fits into the recess of the tool and adds some stability.

I live in an area with soil that has a lot of small rocks in it. I found that the E43 one man powerhead would rarely dig deep enough to set a post with the 8 inch auger. I bought the 4 inch auger and it is a whole new experience. With the same powerhead, I was consistently digging 30 inch deep holes.

Post holes it did not have spring like in picture on box this adds a lot of shock to drive mechanism the 8” auger I have does have a spring but cannot be interchanged

This auger is exactly as described and makes hole drilling a hole lot easier. It is very tough and durable and I like that the fishtail bit can be removed and used on other augers. Great product that I would definitely buy again from this seller.

Very easy to use. Smaller diameter goes through rocky soil better than 8 inch.

worked great bought a 4" bit for fence posts. not a huge workout.

Looks good I have only drilled one hole so far and it worked great.
