Quick and pleasant job, easy installation
Easy to install. I had to cut adjustable pipe to size in order to fit with existing pipe work, 10 second job. Installation took less than 2 minutes. No leaks, water drains much faster than with old pipe. Highly recommended.

Well made (as I would expect from a McAlpine product) - easy to fit, and very durable ; I replaced a standard unit, without the anti-gurgle valve, which had been in place for a couple of years and still in great order, and now have a 'gurgle free' basin waste!

Great product, does the job.
Had a bad smell coming from the downstairs sink after adding a washing machine to the outlet. My plumbing is not top notch, but cheap. So I bought this s-trap to see if this would stop the syphoning of the water during the night. And yes it did, smell is totally gone and works like a gem. Easy to install, had to cut to size in order to fit with existing pipe work. But it comes adjustable so you get a long pipe to cut to match. All in perfect product.

Stops syphoning from U-bend
Emptying the bath used to syphon the water from the hand basin trap's U-bend (via common waste pipe) allowing drain smells into the bathroom via the basin. I replaced the existing U-bend trap with this device to prevent the syphoning and it works, and very straightforward to install. Bit pricey mind.

Works like a charm!
Love this thing! My bathroom was located on the opposite site of the building where the vent pipe is and the sink was always gurgling and letting foul smells in. Not anymore. I used only the bend from this set and replaced my previous one. No tools required.

Fixed slow draining sink
I got a new basin sink fitted (no overflow) and it took forever to drain. Just a matter of fitting this and adjusting the valve and now the sink empties perfectly

Does not work
Installed on a small bathroom sink to stop the bathy gurgling/trap emptying...Still the exact same even though I can hear it hissing and see the needle valve moving.

Works for a washing machine spur..
Used for a washing machine spur, perfect. Simple and easy to fit and slots in to many washing machine drain kits as a straight swap. Nice.
