Been using this as my front tire for over a year (I bought a spare & haven't needed it yet). The traction is fantastic; I haven't experienced any slippage, no matter how fast I'm going. For an aggressive tire, I don't think the rolling resistance is too bad.Even on pavement, it rolls reasonably well.

We live and typically ride mostly in the Midwest and the tires that came with our MTB are well suited for hard packed dirt we typically encounter here, but riding in Colorado last year the tires on our MTB were woefully inadequate, so I purchased these Magic Mary for our trip out west this year. We road twice locally with these new tires and they grip the trail like no other tire I've ever had before. They are a lil slower, but the confidence my wife has with these new tires is worth their wait in gold.

Traction on these tires is extraordinary. I tried one of these out as a front on a bike with wide carbon rims and the combination is off the hook. I've never had tires hook up as well as these. The Nobby Nic I had the back couldn't hang with the Mary. Absolutely floored by the grip.I'm riding these primarily on rocky technical trails with occasional loose sections. I'll be trying them out on some looser trails before too long here and I'm looking forward to the verdict.

I purchased this tire to replace the front stock tire on my MTB. Prior to the new tire, my front tire would “wash out” on tight turns. I wanted the Magic Mary for better grip and side bite. Wow, what a difference. I ride in south Florida with rooted trails and in some places, loose sand. I didn’t go cheap and I’m glad I didn’t.

Great tires but a tad heavy to xc riding. You will definitely get your work out and stick to the trail like no other. They are a tad big for my bike because I've noticed some slight rub going around tight corners, this can be annoying when going up hill....should have ordered a skinnier model, my fault. I ride a Scott scale 970 27.5.

After a handful of wash-outs I began to wonder if there was something going on besides overconfidence and marginal skills. I took a closer look at the Hans Damf mounted up front and noticed most of the side knobbies were partially torn at the base of each knob. A local hot shot recommended the Magic Mary. Although I did notice a little more rolling resistance and an additional couple of ounces of weight, the Magic Mary made up for it with a tenacious grip on both soft and loose soil. I'm even hitting slimy roots at angles that would have pulled my front end loose with previous tires and finding traction instead. I chose the Super Gravity casing, which is probably most responsible for the additional weight. Setting it up to run tubeless will require ample amounts of Stans, some patience, and and air compressor but is definitely possible. All in all, this is my new favorite for a front tire.

Tons of grip!!! Purchased 2...it may be best to run the rapid Ralph or any other with less grip because it has tons of friction. What a great built tire. This is the only brand I will run on every bike I get.

Bought them for the front and rear on my 29er and the traction is amazing. I ride a lot on loose rock and roots. Unfortunately the outter lugs started to peel off my rear tire.

Ottima gomma anteriore per discipline gravity.Un po' più tosta da pedalare rispetto alle concorrenti ma personalmente mi da un senso di sicurezza in più specialmente sui terreni meno compatti.Consigliatissima la mescola supersoft per i mesi invernali.

Leider hat der eigentlich sehr wertige Schwalbe Reifen des Typs Magic Mary zwei markante Materialfehlerstellen im Seitenbereich des Mantels was leider erst nach dem Verbau und dem Aufpumpen ins Auge fällt. Dies ist für einen neuen Reifen natürlich nicht in Ordnung unabhängigdavon das es ein Faltreifen ist. Natürlich ist der Mantel jetzt schon verbaut es bleibt somit abzuwarten ob der Mantel im Gebrauch genau an diesen Stellen sicherlich versagt, unbestritten jedoch die Lebenszeit des Mantels erheblich verkürzt. Ich habe mir in diesem Preissegment mehr erwartet.

Sehr guter Reifen mit top Grip. Lässt sich leicht montieren und ist sehr haltbar. Würde ihn so sofort wieder kaufen. Klare Kaufempfehlung und fünf Sterne.

Habe den Reifen auf mein Vorderrad montiert und selbst bei sehr sandigen Strecken hat man immer noch sehr guten grip
