Dermarest Psoriasis Medicated Shampoo plus Conditioner | 8-Ounces | 1-Unit

I don't have psoriasis just really bad flaking at times . Seasonal changes, stress, a new shampoo always seem to trigger the flakes. H&S doesn't work. TSal, no. TGel, no. T tree formulations, no. Selsun Blue, yes, but it just feels harsh. This is the one for me. I have this on standby. Once a week, at times 2, keeps the flakes at bay. I use this on the scalp, massage, and leave on while I soap and lather. Before I wash it off, I put conditioner (currentlly Aussie moist) to my hair (not the scalp), and my hair is is very soft. If used alone, I can see it drying up people with color treated or just dry hair. However I have straight, oily hair so it leaves my hair "neutral"-- not amazing, not awful... just basic. But I don't really buy it for luxurious locks... I buy it for a flake free scalp, and it does just that!

I have been getting a flaky, itchy sometimes oozy scalp for the longest time. Feels like little pimples, then crusted, then flaked. I've tried a few things. Using this helps the best. Inflammation is Way down and after I shower I brush my hair and get the little bumps off and that is clearing up day by day. I'd say I've been using it for 5 days and 75% improvement. Do I have a bump free, flake free scalp? NO. But much better and livable.

This shampoo is the only over the counter shampoo that really seems to help my husband's scalp. The day after washing it seems to have loosened the flakey spots and more shedding happens that day. He says it seems to itch more after washing as well. But anything that helps is great for him.

I started looking online for something she could use as she had already spent over one hundred dollars on subscription medication (her doctor told her to use Selsun on top of the medication and neither of those helped). Within 3-4 weeks of using Dermarest the incessant itching had eased up.... Her main psoriasis patch is not as full of thick flakes and the red inflammation of the area has been given the time to heal as she no longer is scratching it every second of the day!!! All you have to know is this, my girlfriend and her entire family suffer from psoriasis and/or eczema. They have all been swapping info on what to you when it gets bad... NOTHING WORKED. That is, until Dermarest! Would recommend it to anyone that suffers from this annoying skin problem. It's under $10, what do you have to lose? It's cheaper than anything out there for psoriasis!

This is good: shampooed Sunday & today is Tuesday — I’m now starting to feel the itch/tingle of the psoriasis forming. I’m using this in conjunction with 2 other products in my because I’m trying for once to get at least 5 days of not having to reshampoo or see flakes start to turn into scales all across your forehead/neck. When it starts for me literally small pink dandruff patch will turn white and spread very fast all over my face/neck. Frustrating having this condition but this shampoo is helpful. I guess I’ll have to use 2-3 products to keep this scalp tame. Expensive for only 2-3 days of clear scalp but well worth it. Psoriasis makes you want to scratch your scalp off. NEW EDIT!: It ended up making my condition much worse after a few weeks. It was kind of all of a sudden. Not happy. Original: I've only been using this for a week, but I couldn't believe how quickly it stopped (most) of the scaling. Hopefully all of it will stop once I start to use this product more. This is also the first product I've used for my psoriasis, so maybe other ones work better/faster. So far, this one has been great for my condition!

I have used this shampoo for years with great results. The issue I have is with whoever packaged it without first checking to see if the top was screwed on tight. Since this did not have any inner foil seal, I probably lost a full shampoo's worth in the package. Thankfully, it was the plastic shipping package! It wouldn't have taken but a few seconds to tighten the lip and perhaps put a piece of tape on it to ensure it didn't leak everywhere, spilling what I don't consider an inexpensive product.

I have seborrheic dermatitis and this really helps keep it in control. Since it's not much fun using unscented shampoo, I add a few drops of lavender essential oil to leave a pleasant scent behind. This is the only shampoo I have used in years. I have long hair. I use conditioner in addition to this shampoo, even though it says it is a two-in-one, I need more conditioning than it gives.

It came as expected.

This shampoo didn't really work for me. I'm giving three stars though because everyone's hair/head is different and a product that may not work for me, might work for you. So far I prefer T Gel by Neutrogena.

This shampoo only reduce dandruff, not completely clear the dandruff. Now I use other tar coal based shampoo and it perform better than this one

Doesn’t work, the scalp becomes itchier and flakier. Worse than before.
