I use them for my twin kindergarteners lunches. There is enough space for a sandwich, you just have to overlap them a little, snack and a fruit and it fits into their Wildkins lunch boxes perfectly. They don't fully snap when you close them, but they do close well and my kids can open them on their own. There are good colors although my boys only want to use the blue, green, yellow and red lids, not the purple and pink.
