Pensacola Bahia Grass Seed Fully Tested Fast Germination (1 LB)

I spread it, and it started to sprout after 7 days.

I truly wish I was able to get this five stars but unfortunately it barely deserves one. I prepare the area where the grass seed was to be planted by bringing in topsoil and spreading it out evenly breaking up all the Clumps so that the area I was planting it was consistent and ready to receive the seed I distributed the seed properly and raked it in lightly. I covered the seed and the entire area with a proximately half inch of spectrum. It was watered every day for approximately three weeks. I believe that only 10% of the seed actually germinated and came up. It wound up being so sparse that I wound up having to use some ryegrass seed to fill in with sprouted right away and filled the entire area that was not covered. I have hopes that overtime the Bahia grass may fill in the complete area but I do not plan on holding my breath. I was not happy with the little bit that did sprout and come up I feel like it was a waste of my time and money. I cannot recommend this product as I know I took all the steps to properly encourage the grass to grow and it did not.

Seed is nice size and coated white, so it was easy to see where the over seeding feel. Unfortunately it did not geminate within 8 days, and torrential rains here in the Houston area washed it away. Will try again with remaining seed next Spring!

I started a 1x1' area to test it out. Planting in October in Florida, sprouts came up within 5 days. I wet the area well every day for the first 2 weeks and then let the sprinkler system take over and run only two days a week, as is our code here. And its now December and the sprouts are still green and still growing. If you can't get these to sprout you are doing it wrong.

Well, it was easy to spread, but weeks later (the first purchase) is growing in like the beard on a 13 year old. If you stare at the ground long enough, you can see it. I re-seeded again two weeks ago (fingers crossed)

The product was packed In a nice thick ziplock bag, which makes it easy for storage when only using a small portion. I bought this to help thicken up some thinning grass. After planting the seeds a few weeks ago, I can already see a noticeable difference in those areas. I waited two weeks between mowing to give the seeds time to germinate and it seems to have been beneficial.

The seed never germinated.

No growth yet. I live in Florida So seed should’ve started to sprout. Hopefully something will happen.
