Only worked when point directly at device. Buy the 40.00 dollar one, or simply get this one as a back up. You can also download a Samsung app remote which really works better than all of them!

Bluetooth Remote for Samsung
I purchased this remote because my Samsung TV’s default remote was an infrared remote, requiring a line of sight between the remote and a spot at the lower-right of the TV. In my case, the line of sight was blocked by a treadmill’s display screen, so I bought this remote. It allows you to connect to your Samsung TV via Bluetooth, which doesn’t require line of sight. Just make sure you hold the back and play buttons for the full 8 or so seconds until the TV reports you’re paired. (Initially I tried going into the Bluetooth Devices menu item in Tizen but that was not the way to go.) So, in summary, if you’re having line-of-sight issues with your Samsung TV, this is a great way to fix the problem!

Voice doesn’t work
No instruction came with the remote other than just pointing at your tv and it works. It does work but the voice control does not. I have 2 of these and neither voice control works. Kind of pointless because that’s the basic remote that came with the TV. We bought these just because we wanted the voice control.
