Ceiling lights have come a long way in the last 10 years. - - - Way better than the old 6" deep-can lights - - - - The whole unit costs less than those crazy priced Halo trim kits alone. - Probably won't turn yellow like those crazy priced Halo trim kits (these are painted aluminum). - Tight seal...These won't let heat, A/C, or insects through. - Leave more of your insulation in place - Gimbal mount...aim the light. - Color selectable...works great (must pull light out to reach switch). - Smaller, cleaner look. 4" diameter is large enough. My new preference. - Low profile...works in tight above-ceiling situations. - - - Flood Spot Hybrid - - -Between focused spot bulbs and wide-scattering flood bulbs, this one (and alternatives below) hit the sweet spot. Softly focused light with moderate scatter. The most pleasing light in most situations.- - - Mis-information - - - - The lead picture is not accurate. See the videos or the picture showing dimensions for an accurate view.- - - Alternatives - - -I've reviewed a very similar units..."ZYC" brand, and "LTpro." This HONZIN brand is as good or better in most respects: - 5-year warranty - Dims smoothly to 1% brightness or less. (I tested with Lutron and Leviton in-wall dimmers.) - LTpro is superior if you have an extra thick ceiling (greater than 5/8"). - ZYC is little easier to change the beam elevation after install. (No need to rotate the outer ing, which is clamped to the ceiling).All 3 brands have : - Angle adjust (gimbal mount) - Hybrid flood/spot: Light is somewhat beamed & directed, somewhat scattered. - Clean look... tasteful, understated - Seems like quality design and build - All 3 are unbranded products (see Note 1)- - - Tips - - - - A 4-1/8" or 4-1/4" hole will work. Invest in a hole saw if installing more than a couple of these. Cleaner, more accurate cutouts, no marks left on the ceiling.- - - Notes - - -Note 1: No brand markings on the product, User Guide, or packaging. No contact info given. Branding and model info indicates ongoing reputation management. It eases followup in case of problems. It helps you know that all reviewers are talking about the exact same product.

We were doing a renovation of our kitchen and I had picked up a ton of the regular 4 inch recessed LED lights. While those worked great for lighting the kitchen in general, I found that I couldn't effectively light the island that was directly under the skylight. Other than creatively mounting these, I was looking for an easier solution. I ran across these gimbal lights and knew these were what I was looking for.Technically, I was looking for more of a "fish-eye" type of adjustment, these worked well enough with their "crescent" style of movement. By placing these on either side of the skylight I was able to air them effectively to distribute the light. They are easy to install since I roughed in all the wiring early on. Each light only took 5 minutes, though I didn't like the included clamp connectors. I used more conventional connectors and they worked perfectly.Overall, I'm very happy with these. The color of the light was exact when compared with the original lights I had and these. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these.

Install went very smoothly and they fit at least until 1” thick Sheetrock. Love the look and adjustability of these fixtures. Overall very please with the fit.

I've been looking for some type of ceiling lights to have installed in the ceiling to light up the fireplace. As shown in the photo the ceiling has a steep pitch angle and a standard light wouldn't work good. These lights are the perfect solution with the gimbal rotation. As soon as I get them installed I'll update the photos. These lights are made well and will be easy to install in an existing ceiling.I recommend this product!

These have an amazing range of angles, up to 90 degrees, so they'll work in pretty much any angle you could find. The light quality is really good and it creates a great pool of light. I have the 6 inch round led lights throughout my house, and these look great near them, super happy with them!

I'm a professional interior designer. I bought these lights and installed them in my living room, hall and bedroom. They look better than other brands of white straight lens downlights. I find the flexibility of gimbal ceiling lighting very useful. I can precisely adjust the light Angle as needed to make some areas brighter than others. It is well lit and creates a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

We are changing our home with recessed lighting and these lights came in very well packaged and had clear instructions that if you consider yourself a little handy you can install them yourself. The color and brightness is just right and modernizes a room. I recommend buying these in a four pack which is a good value of price.

4 pack of lights that is perfect for a room. Extremely easy to install and I was able to do it myself simply. Lights when installed can be adjusted to point in the direction you need. Extremely nice color and brightness is easily changed. They look amazing installed in any room and have a great aesthetic to them making the house seem more modern. Would definitely recommend buying as they look amazing and work greatly perfect for any home in not only America but the entire world.
