Great starter set for painting or an easy all in one kit for paint parties. You get two of everything and there are also an extra 3 brushes in each of the acrylic paint boxes along with the 20 brushes included.Only concern I have is the safety of the acrylics. There is no information for the chemical composition that are in the paints and no cleanup information either. The box says it is ASTM D-4236 compliant and non-toxic but has no MSDS info either. Not sure what testing was really done since made in China so just use good judgement with these paints especially with children.

This would be a nice set for a beginner painter or a project for kids. It includes everything you need to do a painting. It has a nice variety of brushes- I do wish they included a slightly wider brush (that's typical of painting larger areas). You actually get 13 brushes (total 26)- the paint box has 3 added small brushes.I really like how it has such a nice variety of small paint tubes- it should be enough to cover the canvas included. Unless you are heavy on the paint, you will have some leftover for more painting too. Paint quality is about as expected -as a craft grade. The palette is a standard size which makes it easy to overfill- only squeeze out what you need! Acrylic dries like a plastic and cannot be revived once dry.Overall, a pretty nice value, especially if you are an occasional crafter or beginner. The hardest part is deciding what to paint on the canvas!

Too often I see subpar materials and mediums marketed as "for kids and beginners" because they are cheaply made. The fallacy is they are the very people likely to become frustrated and give up due to the low quality. This paint kit straddles the line on being frustrating.Shuttle Art is hit or miss when it comes to their acrylic paints. I found that several tubes I opened the paints were already over exposed to oxygen causing them to congeal. If you like opaque paints these will work well, they aren't transparent enough to build up layers.The canvas boards are very basic. I say this in comparison to other canvas boards I have used by Shuttle Art. To get a smooth painting laying down a layer of gesso will help. The wooden easels are cute but the design allows them to easily collapse while painting. They will serve better as displays. The palettes can be found at any dollar type store. They are serviceable, work well, and are easy to clean. The brushes are low quality. The bristles aren't evenly cut leaving stragglers to create random unwanted paint strokes. The bristles separate and fall out easily.I know Shuttle Art can create a better quality kit than this one. Because of the issues in this that can easily frustrate those who want to create "pretty" painting ie beginners I think you should pass on this set. One caveate would be adults who just want to do a sip and paint or similar group painting with a friend where the companionship is the priority over the painting experience.

This is such a great set, it comes with everything you need for two people to have a full paint night! All you need is the drinks! The paint and brushes are actually really good quality, much better than I expected for a kit! The easels make it easy to paint without looking down at the table, and they are easy to set up. The kit comes with two round canvases and two rectangle ones, so you can do this whole thing twice! I love this kit and would definitely buy it again. It would be a fun inexpensive date night in, or a great gift for a couple!
