C ORIGINALS S380 Universal Cycle Helmet Replacement Pads Set Unisize

Pleasantly surprised by this product, have been on the lookout for a while for replacement pads for my MET helmet. The MET website was very expensive and the delivery was long. This was delivered within 48 hours and although not tailor made to my helmet they all fit somewhere and is very comfortable. They are easily removed for cleaning, just put in a wash mesh bag or sock before popping in the washing machine. Slightly more expensive than those from China but the delivery is way quicker.

I have an older but little used helmet for which I couldn't get the pads. I though I'd give this a go. The material and velcro system is all fine.It's perhaps strange that the main forehead piece is so distinctively shaped for what is meant to be a generic set. Why not have a straight shape which will fit more helmets more easily? In may case I could find a way to get this to fit. It went round the helmet to the sides quite a bit more than the original. The fit still seems OK and I suppose I can trim it if needed (wasn't sure however if the filling of the pad might come out if I cut it).There are quite a few pads included (more than my helmet had as standard) so you can probably find a way to make something work. It may not be perfect, but you can probably extend the life of an otherwise good helmet when the pads get destroyed by sweat.Plenty of extra velcro dots provided also so you can replace or to the ones your helmet came with.

Probably like many people, during lockdown I rediscovered the pleasure of cycling. I had not used my bike for over 15 years and the same applied to my cycle helmet. The helmet had been stored in the garage and but the exterior still looked as new. Sadly however the same could not be said about the padding in the inside the helmet, which had got damp and had started to perish and come away from inner walls of the helmet. I therefore thought I'd have no choice but to buy a new helmet. But I checked on Amazon and found this. It arrived the next day and was easy to fix and attach and made my old cycle helmet as good as new. You also get plenty of pads, in all shapes so you can mirror the original layout of the helmet padding or customise the fit to suit your particular needs. A brilliant product at great price

I see these have had a lot of 4 and 5 star reviews but I can't see them as being worth that.They are about half the thickness of the old padding i was replacing (which had started to break down) and quite compressible. As such they don't give much in the way of padding at all.At most i would treat these as a hygiene liner that you could take out and clean occasionally (and I don't know how well they'll stand up in long term).So would I buy these again? No! Nor would I recommend them to a friend.To be honest I'll use them for now but will look out for something better in shops (an attitude I'm starting to adopt more with many of my purchases due to the doubtful quality of some of the items which come from unknown sources on line).

Wish I brought these pads earlier but enjoying the added comfort now, my helmet was suffering from the original pads dropping apart as they do and these new pads have transformed everything. Set is very easy to fit and the helmet is now better than it was from new, you can't go wrong with this set and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of buying a new helmet because the pads have worn out.

Bought to replace old and tired sponge pads in Mavic road helmet.I have just fitted them, and replaced all the sticky hook and loop dots too. Great stuff. Thought I’d have to be hunting around for a while to find suitable replacement sponge pads. I will likely but another set whilst I remember.. definitely recommend.

Quite possibly not a problem with a super-expensive, top of the range helmet, but I'm firmly in the £30 market for cycling helmets and the inner padding only lasts so long before it comes apart and stops being anything but a messy pain. These replacement pads, at a tenner, were a punt but my current bash-hat is otherwise perfectly suited my my head and I didn't want to replace the whole thing unless necessary.This is my second set as even these only last so long but with a sweaty bonce at the best of times, and a daily round-trip of about 20 miles in all weathers, the first set still lasted nearly a year which I rate as excellent given the moisture they have to deal with. They've fallen apart rather than fallen off which I have graciously accepted as OK by me.The padding is nice, non-scratchy and unobtrusive and the small velcro stickers are excellent - very, very sticky on one side and great velcro on the other, to which the pads attach. A bit fiddly to put on (I've found it best to do a dry-run in aligning each pad, then attach the velcro side of the stickers to the pad and then firmly position inside the helmet) if you've fat fingers and no nails to speak of but a new set installed in less than 5 mins.This review might seem a bit excessive for such a small and simple item but if you're like me and don't want to shell out for a new helmet every year especially as you've found a fairly cheap one that is really comfy (Sports Direct "Muddy Fox" unbelievably!), then finding a set of replacement pads as good as this is worth a shout-outOops - better just say this is my wife's account and its not her with the sweaty head.I'll get battered if this comes out with her name on it.

Have an old Met 5 MTB helmet and cant get the Met pads anymore. The sweatband on the front was particularly in need of replacement. This set did the job very well. The material seems very similar to the Met perforated seat band at the front of the helmet and the shaped band fitted well. Other pads replaced the one piece pad that the helmet comes with. Even gained a chin strap pad which the original did not have.
