Chichester is a wonderful children's book writer. I collect children's books and this is one to collect. Pretty pictures and a gentle kind story for little ones. I order it for my 15 year old as a keepsake gift . . . it was her favorite story for many year. (She loved the gift.) Enjoy reading!

My 7-year-old daughter borrowed this book from her school library and just loved it! Then one night I was reading the story both to her and my 2-year-old son and he absolutely fell in love with this story-- so both requested the book for Xmas! Just lovely, heart-warming...an endearing story that speaks to children of all ages!

This book is perfect for perfect for any child with a favourite doll they like to carry outside the house. The illustrations are very good and offer lots of opporunities to expand vocabulary to discuss what is happening.

Beautiful book though i didn't realise from the description that it was a board book rather than a paper version. My granddaughter certainly didn't mind since the story was still the same.
