911 LoveRS Hardcover – January 8, 2018

From R to RS then RSR, finally back to R, none of these cars I can afford... but this book is awesome, plenty of development informations and interviews with car's owner, of course with lots of nice photos.and Amazon need to reinforce the package for standard international flat rate shipping , corners of the book are slightly damaged.

Inspiration

This NOT a book about the cars or a model by model, year to year review or technical review. While the models are SORT OF the subject of each chapter, the book is really a biography of a model owner. Not what I expected nor was it how it was advertised. For some reason if you are truly a lover of Porsche technology, and the innovation achieved during the long evolution of our beloved 911, we still are still as of yet to have a book or series of books published like that. I would like to offer as an example of what I had hoped this book was going to be is the “Porsche Carrera, the early years of Porsche Motorsport ” by Rolf Sprenger. Both books are equally priced but the RS book doesn’t deliver a value. The book is more akin to a PCA monthly, look at me bio than a compendium about the RS lineage. Additionally this book will not age well it is not caring valuable information other than a few scattered pages with information easily obtained in many other books don’t waste your money on this one we can still hope that someone will do a model by model the section of the 911 from 901 to the current models. I hope that someone will pick up the mantle.

Great book on every RS model...I have 993RS and seen/read/bought every book on such cars,but this is not a rerun of old material.....the writer found ...,interviewed RS owners....and photographed their cars...so ALL NEW ORIGINAL MATERIAL.Expensive but 5 star.

If you’re into Porsche, it’s a brilliant book! Pretty expensive, but you get what you pay for as they say...top quality!
