I purchased this Soucolor 9” x 12” sketchbook as part of a birthday gift for my daughter. My first impression is very positive. The sketchbook arrived well packaged and in great condition. I like that it has a sturdy top spiral binding and plenty of pages, which is perfect for practicing and trying different ideas. The paper feels nice and thick, and I appreciate that it’s acid-free. She hasn’t started using it yet since it’s for her birthday, but I’ll update my review once she begins drawing in it. We have now purchased 3 of these for our kids and they are great. They travel well in the kids backpacks and hold up very well! The pages are nice and thick so marker do NOT go through the pages (although you can see darker colors through it, which hasn’t been a problem for us) We have a 6 and 7 year old and they will doodle in these for a good chunk of time which is nice 😂

This is an excellent quality heavy weight spiral bound sketch book. My ten year old grandson is really doing well in art,so I got him this sketch book to use when he is with me, The sheets at 9x12” each, and the book hold 100 sheets. Great for indoor or outdoor projects. This is super versatile and would stay on an easel well. This sketch book is great for water colors, charcoal, and graphite and colored pencils. If you have the right eraser for your use, it will erase well. The paper is not transparent and I will be framing some of his art projects to hang on my office walls. A great value for the money since you get 100 sheets. Very pleased and highly recommend.

I have never purchased a sketchbook before so this is my first experience. I love it! Drawing on it with a pencil is so amazing because it keeps a straight line, the paperweight is thick, I've only used a marker on it once and it was a calligraphy black but it didn't bleed through, you can kind of see through it but I would need a light box if I wanted to trace on it, it feels quality to me. The only thing I wish it had was a hard cover, it has a plastic flexible cover with a cardboard backing. I like the backing and the spiral bound feel sturdy. But the cover I wish was more sturdy. (If your cat eats plastic like mine does 🙄 he bit a hole through it the first day I got it.) One thing I absolutely love about it and did not expect is that it has perforated pages! And I tried it they come off nice and easy just barely had to fold it back once and the tear was nice and smooth! The color of the paper is a cream slash off white and there are a ton of pages! I'm very happy with my purchase... But I would have given it five stars had it had a hardcover since it's already warped (which the cat did not do it was just from use). It flops around. I feel like for the price compared to what I would have to pay in a store this was a great value and a nice experience with my first art pad.

Great for what it is — basic sketch pad for casual sketches or young artists. This is absolutely NOT a replacement for professional paper. If you don’t know paper, standard copier paper is 20lb, and this sketch pad paper is 68lb. So it is quite a bit thicker and stronger, which means it can stand up to more erasing. It’s not thick enough for wet paint without significant buckling. I have not tried it with alcohol markers, but my kid is very happy with it for pencil sketches.

Great sketchbook for the price. Paper is thick enough to handle pencil, marker, and light watercolor without much bleed-through. 100 sheets means it lasts a while, and the 9x12 size is a nice working canvas without being bulky. Solid choice if you want a reliable everyday sketchbook.
