slightly lighter compared to the original lock
I recently purchased a lock for my entire house, and overall, I am quite satisfied with its performance. The installation process was relatively easy, and I was able to set it up without any major issues. One thing I noticed about this lock is that it is slightly lighter compared to the original lock that came with the house. While this may not be a significant concern for most people, I personally prefer a lock that feels sturdy and substantial. However, despite its lighter weight, the lock functions well and provides the necessary security for my home.In terms of functionality, this lock works seamlessly. It effectively locks and unlocks the door without any hiccups or difficulty. The key turns smoothly, and the mechanism feels reliable and durable. I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with knowing my home is secure with this lock in place. One notable feature of this lock is its keyless entry option. It allows me to access my house using a pin code, eliminating the need for carrying keys all the time. This is especially convenient when I have my hands full or when I need to provide temporary access to someone else. The keyless entry has been a game-changer in terms of convenience and accessibility.Another aspect that I appreciate about this lock is its compatibility with smart home systems. I was able to integrate it into my existing smart home setup effortlessly. Now, I can control and monitor the lock remotely through my smartphone, adding an extra layer of convenience and security. The overall design of the lock is sleek and modern, adding a touch of sophistication to my front door. It blends well with the aesthetics of my home and doesn't look out of place. The finish has held up nicely, showing no signs of wear or discoloration over time.In terms of price, this lock falls within a reasonable range considering its features and functionality. While it may not be the cheapest option on the market, the added convenience and security it provides make it worth the investment. In conclusion, despite being slightly lighter than the original lock, this lock has proven to be a reliable and efficient choice for securing my entire house. The installation was straightforward, and the lock functions without any issues. The keyless entry and compatibility with smart home systems are definite advantages. If you're looking for a lock that offers convenience and peace of mind, I would recommend giving this one a try.

works well
replaced an old lockset, a little chiseling on my door edge for the plate to fit(a little bigger than my old one). When flipping over the latchbolt(if you have to) be careful, watch a vid. Mine went sproing! and parts flew everywhere, had to figure out how it all went back together, But all's well now. Works great, recommend

Only low-cost classic mortise lock - but poor quality
I just built 30 custom doors for my 1908 restoration home. I ordered this lockset, mostly for the classic "period" look. It looks great, but the locksets have very poor quality control. The knobs are each pressed together in halves, and some of them are so poorly pressed together that the two halves of the same knob rotate separately. Also, if the opposite hand is required for closing, you must dissemble the lock and reassemble it. It doesn't take long, but the mechanism is hit and miss for smooth operation when it has been reversed - basically because they only machined the surface correctly on one side. These are definitely a mixed bag - but they are the only affordable option - so I'll probably buy more.
