Tiffen 67mm Digital HT Multi Coated Circular Polarizer

This is a very fine filter and competes favorably with the very best and more expensive filters out there. The optical quality is superb with no flare, ghosting, or distortion evident in any of my photos and the color shift is minimal. The titanium lock ring makes the filter very light yet very strong, and the rotation of the polarizing ring is silky smooth. The "high transmission" glass means you will only lose about 1 -1.5 stops. Another plus is the titanium multi-coating is tough and difficult to scratch. I prefer this lens to my B+W Käsemann HTC polarizing filter because it is lighter and the ring is much easier to rotate, plus the polarizing effect on the Tiffen is a bit stronger, which I prefer, although it is less than the Hoya Digital Pro1, which is quite intense. I do like the Hoya, but as others have said, the multi coating on that brand is very susceptible to scratching. So when all is said, this isn't the cheapest filter out there but it is very difficult to find any faults and may very well be the best polarizing filter you'll ever need to buy so I consider it an actual bargain. I have not yet tried the Breakthrough Photography X4 and I've heard it's superb, but the cost is substantially more. You have some peace of mind with the Tiffen since it has a10 year warranty. I feel you just can't go wrong and I highly recommend it.

Using Tiffen filters for years. Never a disappointment! Great quality, reasonable price. This particular item - made of titanium, very light weight, very smooth rotation. Recommend!

The lens filter works just fine for taking photos my only complaint is that in all the pictures it looks like the color is black when it is actually silver and therefore it doesn't match the color of the lens. That is why I took off one star.

Better than B +W and Hoya in my test.

The lens seems to filter but as common knowledge, the lens must be orientated 90 degrees from the sun. They all are made that way. So before taking a picture, make sure you are taking it in that direction. Otherwise, you will either see no difference or may see some distortion. And it wasn't the easiest to screw on my lens extension but that could be the fault of my extension manufacturer. But when using as it was intended, yes, I do see a difference in the quality of my photos.

Not sure how much this improves a sunny scene.

The Tiffen 67HTCP 67 MM Digital HT Circular Polarizer Titanium Filter is all I had hoped for. I am well pleased with this purchase It performs the function of a High Transparency Circular Polarizer, well made, easy to screw on/off, protective cap fits with filter installed on lens, high quality material resistant to scratch. What can I say. I am happy my purchase. You cant go wrong when you bite the cost bullet up front and purchase a filter of this quality. By the way, recently I forgot to remove the filter when I was taking some indoor shots and was thankful that I had purchased a High Transparency filter. Excellent service from Amazon as I have become accustomed to.

I would call the UV Protector mandatory to protect your lense. The polarized filters like this one can enhance your photos by blocking glare. Many newer cameras have built in filters, but these are a quick & easy fix to glare.

This was a last-minute panic buy before I went on holiday as the product I had ordered was not suitable and I urgently needed a replacement which did not cost a fortune. It had really good reviews but I was concerned about the price point and whether it was too cheap and that quality would suffer as a result. I used it for 2 weeks photographing wildlife in game parks, the desert, and architecture and was really pleased with the end result when I got the images home. I also have another polarising filter from a highly regarded and more expensive make which has a slightly bluer tone - I used this on my other camera and for the subject matter I was photographing I preferred the output of the cheaper Tiffen polarising filter over this more expensive one. I am now considering buying it in a larger size for one of my other lenses.

I have used Tiffen products in the past and have always found them to be excellent quality. This filter is great as I had expected.

This Digital HT filter is excellent, it screws to the front of all my lenses perfectly. I've tried several other brands but this HT Tiffen is the best. It cuts reflections excellently from water or windows and saturates blue skies and makes clouds almost three dimensional. It comes with a quality pouch too! I would definitely recommend.
