It is made in Quebec Canada, and it contains malt syrup, and corn syrup, so yes it has sugars. My cats absolutely love it, they think it is a treat, and lick it right out of the tube!

Q: What all ingredients, not just petro and mineral?

White Petrolatum USP, Light Mineral Oil NF, Corn Syrup, Malt Syrup, Soybean Oil, Cane Molasses, Water, Gelatin By-Products, Sodium Benzoate (a preservative), Natural and Artificial Flavors.

Q: Whne ordering, how do you know if it's the maple flavor or not?

I find it best to use the picture as a guide. The new maple packaging has an orange cat on it.
