A light sleeper no longer being woken up!
I am a pretty light sleeper. I have four children, ages 9-17, and sometimes they stay up late, sometimes they wander into my room to get something or other late at night, sometimes my husband snores or coughs, :) and sometimes we have a train that goes by the house at night. Just typical life stuff, but I crack my eyelid for a second when I hear things, and obviously that's pulling me out of good sleep. I used to turn on the fan in my bathroom, hoping to drown out some of the noise. I also got a white noise maker to try to drown things out even more. I liked having those things, but I was still being woken up. These sleepbuds are a life saver for blocking all those little noises that would normally interrupt my sleep (even if just briefly). First, they are very comfortable. The medium size fits my ear very well. You need to twist it back into your ear for the little wing tip to fit snugly into the groove of your ear. Once you've got them in, there is no risk of them falling out. I am a side sleeper and 95% of the night I sleep on only my right side, so I usually just put the left ear in, and my right ear is pressed against the pillow. The sounds in the app are very soothing. My favorite right now is Crimson Cloak, which has a very nice even tone in the middle range. It's perfect white noise. I've also slept with the crackling fire one, and the raindrops one - and both are also soothing. But, I go back to the simple white noise options most often. There are not very many sleep sounds in the Ozlo app, only about ten (I'd love if there were more options), but I had no trouble finding one I like. Plus, I have a subscription to Headspace and I'm able to use these sleepbuds with their night sounds if I want. One thing I like about the sounds in the app is that they don't overwhelm. It doesn't feel like anything is blasting in your ear. The sound almost feels "far away" like you're hearing it from outside a window. This is not a defect of the earbuds, because I can use the buds when listening to other things on my phone and it sounds great. I think it is a feature of the sounds within the app. They don't feel overwhelming, and I have no trouble falling right to sleep. My husband thinks I must be getting into a pretty deep sleep when I wear them, because he says I make noises in my sleep when I'm really out :) and I've been doing that ever since wearing these. I dream often, so maybe that's why?? Every morning my husband is asking, "Did you hear me cough? Did you hear me get up in the night? Did you hear the dog bark?" and whenever I answer "no" he is super impressed. I sleep about 7-8 hours a night and the battery always lasts through the night. But, they do have to go back in the case to charge every day. One night I put one of the earbuds back in the case flipped 180, and so it didn't charge, and that night it did not have enough battery to use it. Connecting them up to my phone was easy. They walk you through how to do it in the app. It took about 30 minutes for the updates to download and then it was ready to go. They auto connect via bluetooth when I open the case. But, one odd thing is that to disconnect them I have to put them back in the case, close the lid, and then turn off my bluetooth for a second so they disconnect. I'm hoping that is something that can be fixed, so they disconnect automatically when I put them back in the case in the morning. My husband keeps talking about wanting to try them, but I'm reluctant to not have them for a night while he tries them out :). I guess I'll just have to get him his own pair!

Worth $50, not $300
I find it relaxing to listen to audiobooks/podcasts while falling asleep. After using regular earbuds for this for years, I decided to splurge on myself and get a dedicated sleepbud-type product. I picked the Ozlo sleepbuds expecting a premium product experience for the $300 price point. The reality is they are a fussy, buggy product that is (to be fair) quite decent when it works and is awful when it doesn't. I would return these if I wasn't past the return window on Amazon. Here are more detailed pros/cons I have found after using them for 4 months: Pros: - The fit and comfort level is quite good. You can sleep on your side while they are in. - The battery life is good enough to get through a night of sleep on a charge. Cons: - They often don't connect properly to my phone, so I have to repeat specific steps to get them working. Put them both in the case, ensure they are seated properly, open the app, open the case lid, then wait for them to connect in the app before I can take them out and use them. Not a huge deal but again, its fussy. - The sleepbuds must be kept close to the case (like 10 feet), or they will disconnect, forcing you to potentially repeat all the connection steps above if they bug out. So you can't walk out of a room without the case unless you're willing to risk disconnecting them. - The case must be kept charged, in addition to the sleepbuds. If the case has no charge, then the sleepbuds don't work. Maybe that's obvious to some people, but it is an entire additional device & battery to manage. - The case design, while clever, has a very flimsy hinge. It's not the type of case you can throw in a backpack full of gear and expect to survive. I don't have any faith it would survive even a short drop. Given how critical the case is to the device operation, this is doubly concerning. - There are random and intermittent audio quality issues even when the devices are well-charge and located close; pops and audio sources cutting in/out briefly. - After ~3 months of use, my left sleepbud developed an issue where it plays at less than half the volume of the right sleepbud. I can't hear anything from it unless the volume on my phone is maxed out. Emailing tech support got me a list of basic troubleshooting steps which I followed but did not resolve the issue. They have failed to respond to my request for what next to try (3 days and counting...). [update 4/8: It took support 7 days to respond to my email. By this time I had reset the sleepbuds using the 'pinhole' reset button on the case and the left earbud audio was restored. Email support had never suggested this as a step to try, not sure why...I had to figure it out from reading other people's issues.] - Update 12/10/2025: The left earbud went back to only playing at half the volume. I have tried all troubleshooting steps and the issue remains. I've given up on fixing this and just have been using it as-is. - Update 3/6/2026: The sleepbuds now disconnect from the case very frequently, even if they're close to the case and phone (even a few feet). I don't know if this was caused by a recent firmware update, or what happened. I would consider them unreliable to the point of being unusable. They're more like pair of earplugs now. I'm really disappointed.

Very happy with the quality and performance of these Sleepbuds
Just returned from a week-long trip where both my wife and I used these every night. We had tried using Bose sleepbuds when they first came on the market and found the reliability to be wanting (Bose tried a few different designs and were very good about replacing the originals and refunding us when they finally took them off the market). The Ozlo Sleepbuds performed very well. They are quite comfortable. They come with 3 sizes of replaceable rubber ear fittings. I used the standard size with no problem and may experiment with other sizes to see if that offers any improvement. The selection of sounds is pretty good. I would be happy if they offered even more of them, but am satisfied with the current selection. The built in alarm is also useful - you will likely use it as the sound masking is very effective and sounds that might normally wake you in the morning are inaudible. And, of course, that means that the sounds you are trying to mask that bother you when sleeping are also effectively eliminated. There is volume control for both sleep audio and alarms as well. I’ve only had these for a few weeks now but so far the quality seems very dependable. They work very similarly to my Apple AirPods, and I suspect that technology advancements since the earlier Bose versions have made it possible to manufacture more reliable small battery products like these. Like Apple’s AirPods, they are stored in a case that you charge and the sleepbuds charge while inside the case. You get about 10 hours from charged sleepbuds, and about 3-4 full charges from the case, which makes them easy to maintain and travel with. They have so far made sleeping while traveling much more enjoyable and I recommend them.

Read the Updated Review for Quality Feedback
After experiencing bad customer service from another brand that produces sleep buds, I decided to bite the bullet and suck up the hefty price and bought these in July 2025. They worked for 2 days before I was sending an email to Ozlo Customer Servive that the charging case wasn't charging. The rep (Naro)was quick to respond with some possible ways to see if it was a glitch or user issues, and when we confirmed it was an actual issue with the sleepbuds, he sent me a code to ship them back via FedEx. As soon as he had confirmation I'd dropped them off at FedEx, he shipped a new pair, which I received in 2 days. GREAT customer service! Everything worked great from 30 July until the 6 Nov 2025 (give or take a couple days) firmware update. It has been downhill since. Now, the sleepbuds wont stay connected to the charging case or my phone, so I can't stream any music to fall asleep to and also can't have my alarms come through the sleepbuds. (Not helpful for the masking noise to block noise while I'm sleeping, as well as the alarms I need to wake me up for work) I tried everything I could find to try to remedy the issue myself - checked to make sure I had the most recent version of the app on my phone (Samsung S25+), reset the charging case, un-paired and re-paired the sleepbuds from my phone, performed a factory reset and re-paired them with my phone, went online to the update.ozlo site and did a reset, turned off bluetooth on my phone, moved phone/case sleepbuds around my room to try to keep them connected, and made sure my phone supported BLE. I reached out to Ozlo Customer Support again, thoroughly describing the issue AND each of the ways I tried to resolve it on my own before reaching out. It took 4 days to get a response back from Sofia, and the suggestions to fix the issue were exactly what I'd said I'd done in my initial email. So I tried them all again with no success, and emailed Sofia back to say I'd tried it again but the issue persists. Another 4 days later, I got an email telling me to do the exact same thing she'd suggested the first time (that I'd already done 2+ times), just used different words this time. So now I'm on week 3 of sleepbuds that only play masking noises (just like my sound machine does) and doeant allow me to hear my alarms in the morning without waking my partner. Not only can I not get my alarm to play through the sleepbuds, I am also wasting time every night just trying to get them to work, until I give up, accepting that these sleepbuds are only going to play the built-in masking noises. Im getting the same sort of customer service from Ozlo now that made me leave the other brand, but they didn't cost over $300 like these do. I'm very frustrated, because I feel like these should be exceptional for their price, but they aren't. -------------------------------------------‐------- PROS - Sturdy charging case - Great sound quality - Ability to stream from other apps - Auto switch from streaming to masking sounds when you fall asleep - Alarms built into app - Comes with various size ear pieces to have the right fit for your ears - Exceptional customer service (most of the time...there's always that one that screws things up for 'us'. Am I right?) CONS - Only about 8 hours of battery life, even without Bluetooth streaming - Sleepbuds themselves are slightly too big for my left ear and cause some discomfort - No music or binaural beats in Ozlo app to stream with masking sounds; only masking sounds available through Ozlo - Occasionally switches from streaming to masking before you're completely asleep - Multiple functional issues (charging case wasn't charging and phone/case/sleepbuds keep losing connection, so no streaming or alarms) - Nothing on charging case to indicate sleepbuds are properly seated to charge - A bit costly for a pair of earbuds ---------------------------------------------‐----- UPDATE: I'm updating my review to provide quality feedback for buyer and seller. I was so frustrated with the issue I was experiencing with these last week and the less than stellar customer service I was receiving from Sofia. The morning after posting my review, I received an email from Naro with a return label to ship the sleepbuds back, at their expense. I shipped them out on Friday and got the replacements on Monday afternoon. A couple days later, I also received a message from Ozlo on Amazon to make the issue right. With the exceptional customer service from Naro and Ozlo on Amazon, I am very happy with the customer service I've received. Now, on to the sleepbuds...when they arrived on Monday, I made sure they got a full charge, then connected them via usb to my computer to update the firmware as Naro advised. I used these replacements on Monday night and found they are functioning as intended...most of the time. They are connecting to the case and my phone as they are supposed to. However, I am still experiencing periodic, temporary drops when the sleepbuds will stop playing the built-in masking sounds or bluetooth for a second or two. It's not super disruptive to me, so it's not a huge issue, but definitely a bug that they need to work out. Overall, I recommend giving these a try. As a side-sleeper, these are a solid choice for sleepbuds that help to cover the random noises that would normally wake me up. They fit well, sound great, and when there's any sort of issue, Ozlo's customer service team is exceptional in making things right.

Want to blindly love them so bad. Wish I could recommend.
Genuinely torn up about these in a love and hate kind of way. I use them religiously, but they've been so unusable and annoying sometimes that it genuinely effects my sleep for the worse because of how much I've grown to rely on these. Pros: -VERY small and comfortable fit. Tiniest sleep buds on the market. -Battery lasts well beyond my 8 hours of sleep I need. I'll wear these for an hour or more just scrolling in bed as I wind down and, after 8 hours sleep, they usually have charge still. -Bluetooth streaming allows me to fall asleep to Youtube or any other app, but then it kicks into the "sleep sound" after it tracks that you're asleep. This is nice because I can fall asleep to my preferred podcasts or whatnot, but then in the middle of the night I only wake up to white noise which is much less distracting. -Noise cancelling feature is reliable and effective. Cons: -BUYER BEWARE - NEVER update firmware. They don't offer a way to revert back and their firmware updates famously are known to break things. -Connectivity was fine for months of use, but I updated the firmware around the holidays and it completely rendered them useless. They'd disconnect consistently within 5 minutes. No amount of factory resetting, tricks, tips, etc. would fix them and that's coming from someone who works in IT. -Customer service is abysmal. I highly recommend you buy these off Amazon and not their website and also get the Amazon warranty that they offer. I had to go through a full month of back and forth troubleshooting requests with customer support and every message read like it was a new person who didn't read anything prior. So... not only do the "former Bose engineers" push faulty firmware updates... the customer service is severely disorganized and unactionable. Very frustrating because these are, without a doubt, the best sleep buds on the market. But for ~$300 I expect much better, Ozlo. Third party sleep buds are coming out and once they solve the battery life issue, it's over.

Day Sleeper here, these earbuds have been one of my best investments in years.
After having use these for about 8 months, I can confidently say these sleepbuds have been a life saver for me. For anyone else who works the graveyard shift and sleeps during the day, this review is especially for yall. For reference, I live on the first floor of my current apartment and I sleep during the morning through the early afternoon (typically 7am to around 2-3ish). For months I've had issues sleeping since I am a light sleeper who wakes up to noises as simple as footsteps from the tenants above. After months of terrible/irregular sleep, I've stumbled upon these babies in early January. I wasn't crazy about the price point at first but I've already tried every other method for sleep including night masks, White noise machines, and earplugs so this was quite literally my last resort so I opened up my wallet and took the plunge. It took a few weeks of me messing around with the settings to find the ideal sound/volume to suit my needs but once I did I was finally started to get good sleep on a regular basis again!!! Sounds: These earbuds give you a variety of sounds to choose from (though after experimenting I ended up staying with the default Soar Sound with my volume at 58%). Sounds are all a continuous loop so no need to worry about noticeable abrupt stops. Bluetooth/Battery Life: As advertised these earbuds last 8-10 hours on average; battery life can potentially be alot shorter if you keep bluetooth enabled and play sounds at higher volumes. Bluetooth connectivity was a big issue with this product when it first came out but after a few months when more updates started rolling out, this has improved significantly imo. Fit: When it comes to the fit, you can't get much better than these earbuds for sleep. You'll barely notice they are in your ear and you should have no issues comfort-wise sleeping throughout the night (this is coming from a serial side sleeper.) Fit is pretty secure as well; I've only had these fall out a handful of times through the year, enough to count on 1 finger. I could go on but I think I've rambled enough. In summary, these earbuds have been a fantastic investment for my sleep health. Yes they are definitely very pricey at 300+ but imo I consider getting a healthy amount of sleep to be worth the price. They are by no means perfect but for someone who sleep during the day, lives near a very busy road, and is a light sleeper, these earbuds can usually give me around 7 hours on average of sleep during the day (sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less.) If you have the cash for this product consider giving it a shot if your like me and have ran out of options to get a good night's rest otherwise.

Good hardware, terrible software
First, let me start with the good. Once you get past the rather enormous number of very bad things, these are great. They truly helped me get better sleep while traveling and not having a noise machine. Can’t hear looping in the sounds. Volume is good. Isolation is good. That’s where everything good ends. I bought these because Linus Tech Tips reviewed them and we were about to go on a trip. I figure better sleep is worth almost any dollar amount so I decided to fork over the cash. Let’s start with the app and connectivity to the app. There is a very specific ritual you must perform for everything to work correctly. Open the app, open the case, make sure the buds are in the case. However, if you deviate from this in any way, it won’t work. So if you pull out the buds and put them in your ear, they will work, but you get no app connectivity. Seriously one night I started wearing them and had set an alarm a couple days before. The alarm went off and woke me up. But I couldn’t shut it off. I opened the app but it wasn’t connected to the case even though there sat the case, open. I didn’t follow the required ritual. Had to put the buds back in the case and open the app then close the case and open the case again. By that point I’m wide awake even though I didn’t need to be. Here I am trying to recover from jet lag and accidentally set the alarm. Well, I’m awake now. Having to perform this ritual is incredibly annoying. I hate it. Everyone should hate it. It doesn’t make sense. Why do the buds need to be in the case for the app to connect to the case? I understand the reason for the phone connecting to the case (battery life and BTLE), but the case was already open. The case should have been connected to the buds. This dependency is ridiculous, and an absolute show stopper. But I’m only getting started with the bad. Now I get to Bluetooth audio. Again, I get that the phone connects to case and case connects to buds. So phone in hand, case on night stand, buds in ears. No more than 2-3 feet distance between them. Audio choppy, delayed, out of sync, and more. Completely unusable. But whatever. I didn’t buy them for that purpose. I bought them to sleep, but damn, this is just awful. I’d like to listen to something at bed time then get my noise for sleep, but it’s awful. This is why you need to be able to pull them out of the case and use them without the aforementioned ritualistic connection process. I wish I were done. So, first full night of sleep. I’ve done all the things. I’ve disabled Bluetooth audio. I’m just using them for sleep noise. I perform the ritual by waving my magic wand and stating the proper chant “wingardia sleepiosa”, to get all connected and ready for sleep. Leave the case open, app connected, buds and case fully charged. I’m definitely getting at least 8 hours of sleep. A few hours in I realize my ears are absolutely killing me. Well, at least the ear that’s on the pillow. Damn, that sucks. I struggle to find some comfortability. Argh. I am now struggling to get back to sleep. I lay there for at least an hour because I’m frustrated. Finally I drift off. I then wake up to no noise in my left ear. Just 7 hours after I go to sleep, the left bud is dead. Great, now I’m awake again. I put both buds in the case. Right bud is at 25%, left bud is dead. Frustrated. I keep using them at night, struggling to find comfort, but hoping for value from my $330 purchase. I make them work, but can’t achieve 8 hours. Last night I used them from 2am until 8:30 and when I woke up and put them in the case, left bud was at 27% while right was at 45%. Clearly I have a defective bud. Ugh. My ears are killing me yet I slept ok otherwise. The noise lets me actually sleep. That’s nice. Very last night of my trip I set an alarm to wake up on time. I perform the ritual, leave the case open, and fall asleep. Alarm goes off. I look at my phone, no notification. Unlock phone. Open app. App isn’t connected to case. Wait for case to connect. Nope, I have to close and reopen the case. But this time it connects without me having to put the buds back in. All this just to snooze the alarm. Wow. Just so infuriating. Battery of left bud is about 12% lower than the right after just 5 hours of sleep. Overall, these buds aren’t anywhere near close to a quality product. Software needs massive amounts of work. Just not comfortable. I hope someone finds some comfort with these. Once I’m back home I will return them. I hoped for more. I’d be willing to keep them if the software side were not so terrible. I’d make a pillow that makes them more comfortable. I’d even travel with it. But the magic dance that must be performed for a good experience ruins it all. I wish these guys great luck, as I greatly appreciate their efforts in trying to achieve success where Bose failed.

Avoid Ozlo = poor design - unreliable - over priced Lipstick on a Pig
Why Bose ended the Sleepbuds line—both the first-gen (2018–2019) and Sleepbuds II (2020–2023). What sank the original Sleepbuds (2019) Unreliable silver-zinc micro-batteries. Bose publicly said the batteries “didn’t work as consistently or predictably as they should,” and discontinued the product while offering refunds. Multiple reports tie this to the chosen silver-zinc cell chemistry; Bose’s own launch materials confirm that chemistry. Not a safety recall, but a reliability retreat. Bose emphasized there was no safety hazard and continued warranty/replacement support, but the erratic charge/early shutdown behavior was widespread enough to pull the product. Why Sleepbuds II ended (2023) Limited mainstream adoption even after a redesign. Bose says plainly that Sleepbuds (including II) “did not reach the level of adoption we hoped.” That is Bose’s official reason for ending the line and the companion Sleep app. Bose Support Strategic focus. Reporting at the time framed it as Bose refocusing on core categories (headphones, speakers, ANC) after a niche product failed to scale. Design constraints made them niche. By design, Sleepbuds II couldn’t stream your own audio (they only played built-in masking tracks from the Bose Sleep app), which limited appeal next to multipurpose earbuds. Retail pages and reviews called this out. Supplier/chemistry headwinds for Gen 1. Industry notes around the time point to turmoil in silver-zinc suppliers (e.g., ZPower in hearing-aid markets). While Bose didn’t name a supplier, the chemistry choice is documented and aligns with the reliability issues Bose cited. (Inference based on silver-zinc use and contemporaneous supplier problems.) The concept was revived by ex-Bose engineers as “Ozlo Sleepbuds.” Three former Bose employees acquired the Sleepbuds trademark/technology and relaunched the idea with added capabilities (e.g., streaming your own audio, sleep-triggered auto-switch to masking). Rivals kept adding features Sleepbuds II lacked. Anker/Soundcore’s sleep earbuds line moved toward ANC, streaming, private alarms, and sleep tracking—features broad audiences expect—while staying comfortable for side sleeping. That raises the bar for adoption if your product is single-purpose. Gen 1 died from battery reliability. Gen 2 died from business reality: even improved hardware couldn’t overcome a narrow use case and rising competition, so Bose redeployed resources to bigger categories. Ozlo’s version retains the same general design for sleep-use, but adds more flexibility (ability to stream your own audio, biometric sensors, etc.). No improvement to battery life - left bud will fail - requires constant charging - when new battery charge after 7 hours = 1-2% Ozlo is a failed discontinued Bose product poorly resurrected by Ozlo - over priced - extremely poor battery life and as others noted - the left bud will FAIL in a new short months - I had to return/exchange two pairs. Update - the charging case will go dead very very quickly if NOT connected to a charger - other brands do not loose their charge if not connected to a charger as quickly as Ozlo both the buds and charging case do not retain charge Cons - Extremely poor battery life in both the buds and charger - the case does NOT retain a charge unless plugged in Left bud will loose audio level within weeks - Ozlo replies you need to clean the ear piece then why do other brands not have this problem - it's not the cleaning - it's a bad product Poor Audio quality Extremely poor battery life - at the end of 6-8 hours you might have 1-2% battery level Poor connection issues - difficult to connect to blue tooth - connectivity is unreliable Horrible software - brain dead software - lack of features - features built in = useless Value - if Ozlo was priced at 50.00 it would be a decent value - at 300.00 Ozlo is a rip off a very poor investment Pros - the ONLY redeeming factor is the fit - Ozlo although offers a terrible selection of ear bud sizes but Ozlo does fit well

Best sleepbuds on the market
I bought these as a replacement for my Bose Sleepbuds, which lasted around two years before developing technical issues. Overall, they feel very similar, with a few improvements. Yes, they are expensive, but they are the only sleep earbuds that really work for me. They are incredibly comfortable, unlike many comparable products where the earpieces feel too bulky and uncomfortable, especially for side sleeping. I can wear these all night without any issues. The sounds do a great job of masking snoring, which is the main reason I use them, and they perform very well in that regard. The app is straightforward and easy to use, and connectivity has been solid. One improvement I really like is the ability to stream audio from other sources, which was not possible with the Bose Sleepbuds. I also like that once your streaming finishes, the earbuds automatically revert back to your chosen sleep sound. As an Android user, the sleep biometrics feature is not currently working and just says “coming soon,” but that is not something I bought them for anyway. I do hope many of the tech issues that affected the Bose version have been sorted with these. Overall, if you are looking for comfortable sleep earbuds that effectively mask noise, these are excellent.

Top Quality- great replacement for Bose Sleepbuds.
Bought these as a replacement for my Böse Sleepbuds which I loved but had problems with that couldn’t be fixed. These are perfect - every bit as good as the Böse were but with none of the battery problems. As a bonus, they can be used as ’normal’ earbuds to listen to anything, then when that ends- switch automatically to the sleep sounds.

I was skeptical but now I'm a believer
As someone who sleeps with air buds in my ears every night, I've been on the quest for great sleep buds for years. I've been switching between my apple air pods which hurt my ears often, and a raft of different cheaper sleep buds from Amazon and other online stores. I was reluctant to drop $399 on these Ozlo sleepbuds, but after ready positive review after positive review I bit the bullet. Only only two days in, but I can confirm that they are the best sleep buds I've owned (and I've owned many) - and the first that actually last all night long with battery life! They're comfortable for side sleeping and really do cut out the outside world. So far they are a total win.

Great for Sidesleepers
Finally! I get insomnia frequently so I listen to sleep stories to help relax me but usually 15 minutes in, my headphones or earbuds just start hurting so I need to shut it down. The headband ones are hot and annoying on the head, not to mention the sound is horrid and you risk an uncertified battery on both sides of your head…enter OZLO, the sleep buds. Expensive? Hell yes, but soooo comfortable (fyi this is Bose tech). The sound is good and the sound that plays after your personal audiobook is done etc is adjusted separately so it can be lower or higher than the sound from your personal programs. I really don’t feel them in my ear. I highly recommend.
