Q: What sealant to use? I am doing a coffee table.

The sealant that is offered for this product-Permacoat Xtreme by Modern Masters.

Q: can we use it over a regular painted wall?

Yes you can, as long as you first prime the wall with the Acid Blocking Primer (included in the kit). Metal Effects Primer can be applied to clean metal, wood, masonry, plaster and previously painted surfaces.

Q: Can this product be used on a truck for a diy faux patina finish?

Like on a full sized truck? It might work, but there’s multiple steps and the paint itself is very thick and hard to work with. Also, there’s a spray that you have to apply to jumpstart the rusting process. This spray is corrosive to normal paint and other surfaces, so it might end up damaging existing paint. I don’t know how faux patina is usually accomplished on classic cars, but this might be more trouble than it’s worth. The product works well when you’re painting an entire object, but creating spots that are rusted would be challenging. Also, the paint and other steps smell pretty bad before they dry.
