🐝 Buzz into Better Beekeeping!
The Delaman Bee Feeder is a high-quality, durable plastic feeder designed for medium (shallow) 5 or 10-frame supers. It holds approximately 1/2 gallon of syrup and features a clear cap to prevent drowning, ensuring safe access for bees. With optimal dimensions and bee-safe materials, this feeder enhances your beekeeping experience.

It is what it says, some manufacturing flaws, does not fit Flow Hive
It's a piece of plastic, not much to it. It's exactly as described (ish - see other reviews and answers for actual dimensions). Does not appear to leak, though I'm using it for dry food. The top cover for the feeder does have holes for ventilation, so this will not *completely* block all top ventilation for your hive.It does have several hanging chads from the injection molding process that get in the way of assembling the feeder properly. The push the inner cover off center. See pictures. It's no big deal and these are easy enough to clean up with an X-Acto knife, but you really shouldn't have to, so -1 star.Other notes, I bought this hoping the smaller diameter would fit under the canted roof of my Flow Hive. It does not. It's *just barely* too big, though, and I put it in my hive anyway because I need a feeder, but the roof sits a little awkwardly off balance. The same is probably true for any canted roof. To fit properly you'd need a shim, and if you're using a shim then you might as well get the larger feeder.

Dimensions of these feeders
This is for the person questioning the measurements. My answer was entered before I was finished. Here's my feeders correct specs. 7 1/2" across the top without the top lid on and 2" side height. It is not designed to sit flat. The center entrance extends down through my inner cover about 1/4", which makes it easier for the bees to catch hold and climb. Use an inner cover that matches the feeder's inner entrance tube. This stops the bees from building up wax bridges. I use these year round. Syrup mixture of one to one water/sugar. Winter I pour in pure sugarcane sugar. The moisture will rise up into the feeder and turn the sugar into a semi hard cake. Now to the person on here who had problems with their feeders of this type. The inner cup has notches that sit onto the matching prongs to keep it from spinning. I had a friend place those, let's call them cups, on wrong and had problems like yours. Take the time to assemble them dry first. These run on my ten frames using an empty medium for a spacer. And on my 5 frame Nucs with a special built wood box for a spacer. If you want to run water in them don't forget to keep the feeder clean and the water fresh. Good luck!

Gets the job done
Works like they said. Bees readily come up into it and feed and do not drown since there are little ridges they can get a foothold on. Only thing I didn't like is the little tube they come up in protrudes a bit so you need to build some kind of spacer or it can sit off kilter.

Bees could not access the sugar syrup!
This feeder came with NO directions or instructions. When assembled, the bees did not have enough room to clear the top of the inner cap and reach the syrup. I stacked quarters under the bottom edge of the inner cap to raise it enough so that the bees could squeeze through to the syrup. I did not discover this until the next day which means my newly installed bees had no access to food until then. Thank goodness the following day was dry and warm and the hollies were blooming. At least they were able to find food on their own. I hope my solution works and I don't find a hive of dead, drowned bees in the morning.

Does NOT hold a half gallon of syrup
It does NOT in any way hold a half a gallon of anything. It is very well made. Excellent but it is a little over a quart capacity. I want to send back but don’t have time to mess with. Might fit in nucs.

Really good feeders
This was a very good feeder, it fits in my 5 frame nucs, it also has a clear lid to look into .It is really easy to put together no need for detections. The bees have plenty of feeding room on the top.

How To...
For anyone confused on how this feeder works: 1)Hold the feeder like a bowl and place its funnel over the hole on your inner cover. 2)Place the clear cup holes-up over the funnel. 3)Fill bowl with syrup. 4)Place clear lid over bowl.

Doesn't work for me
Maybe other buyers have success with this feeder but, I took it out. Very few bees were feeding on this vs my other in hive feeders. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but feeders are very basic. Bees should be able to easily feed. They didn't seem to feed on this one. Going on the shelf to maybe re-visit someday.
