Culture and Psychology, 5th Edition

Great to not break the bank on textbooks. Was just what I needed at a great price.

Great book, but can become boring if you spend long amounts of time reading it. I didn't notice it before buying it, but the cover says that it should't be sold in the US. It worked just fine for the class that I was taking though. It brought up how must psychology is fake because it only focuses on college students in America. Tons of interesting topics that challenge modern accepted psychological facts. Overall this is a very interesting book about psychology. May not be good for someone who is just starting to learn about psychology because it barely covers the american studies.

This is terribly confusing, at least for my style of learning.It provides SOME basics, some theories and concepts, and a LOT of studies. I like to have even amounts of both, but when an entire section is a cultural comparison based on previous studies, instead of telling me how to read and interpret these studies for myself... Or how to understand future studies, or contradictory studies, or anything at all about theory... Well.Bottom line: it's ok, but I'd much rather read something that's more scientific based and less, "well in the past we've found the Japanese babies are calmer than Chinese babies, who tend to be calmer than African-American or European American babies." Who cares?! Tell me how to do or read or understand these, and the basis of how the study was conducted!

Ordered this textbook for a class, and it came when it was supposed to and was just what I needed for the course.

The information is great, but it's the matter of getting the information that is the issue I have with this book. Keywords are not in bold, and sections are difficult to navigate with little to no headings. If you need this book, then you should obviously get it, but if you're looking for a textbook to just read and learn from, I would not recommend this.

I bought this book for class. It's a little pricey for a used textbook but I guess that's to be expected. Culture and psychology are two separate subjects that are interesting but when combined become fascinating!

When I received this textbook everything looked amazing! It was brand new. There were no marks on it or in it .. I am very happy with this purchase
