I originally thought this was a good product and good value, then after installing it and using it for a little while it continues to fail. You set the passcode and I actually use the safe daily to store my cash as I am a poker player. So daily I put money in and take money out so no way I am forgetting the passcode. Then after working for a while it just fails and will not accept the same passcode you have been using everyday. You have no access to the safe or your money. First time after repeated tries the red light came on and the passcode defaulted to the original code and I got in replaced battery and reset according to instructions. It worked again for a little while then failed again. I am entering code over and over trying to get the battery to die again but it takes weeks to get it to die.So I call for help from the seller and he is playing games, first offers to sell me a key to enter the safe and I paid for it and asked to ship overnight, then he does not accept money and has me cancel paypal and pay again. Then accepts money all the while dragging this out for days, now sends me excerpt from instructions that has nothing to do with the issue and still has not shipped my key several days later is asking for serial number? If he needed this why not ask up front. Terrible service and back and forth emails and I keep telling him it is urgent but still no solution.

Great value for the money. I had to add a stud section in the wall because most new houses apparently have internal walls at 20" not 16". I also added a washer to the bottom hinge to keep the door from rubbing when closing. For all you that are asking about the instructions, see the pic.It had a problem with my right pointer finger so I just programmed that same finger a second time and it hasn't failed yet. Added two rubber coated magnets to keep our pistols in, added a motion activated light ribbon to light everything up when it's dark. About to mount a 4ft long mirror on a hinge to conceal it, as it's in our walk in closet. Would recommend, but you need to be a little handy for all the little issues that rise up during any install like this.

What's up with the rear lip? Basically if you want to cut a hole in drywall to install this safe, it doesn't work. The rear lip is meant to grab the backside of the stud, with the front lip grabbing the front of the stud. This means the front flange sits EVEN with drywall, not on top of it. This creates a truly flush installation, but the edge of the drywall will look rough cut. They could have designed it for a clean and flush install.

I originally left a bad review but I reprogrammed the safe and it is now working on only the finger I programmed it onHey The fingerprint reader was only programmed to one finger and it worked on all of them. Not secure. I am worried anyone can open it. Other than that I like the design and build on the safe

You get what you pay for. It is not something that you could concider secure and no valuables are safe there as you can open it with a big screw driver. Yet it is better than a wooden drawer.It is good for keeping your medicine in it, away from the kids.The best security feature of this item is that you can hide it somewhere in the wall behind something. If it is found it will not stop a criminal for more than 30sec.

I purchased this exact model for its advertised width of 13 1/4”. I was looking for a wall safe to occupy a hole that was already cut out in a closet wall that only had stud spacing of 13 3/4” edge to edge, and wasn’t wanting to remove and of the stud material. After cutting the drywall to the proper height for the safe, it slipped perfectly into place and the outer flange fit firmly against the wall surface. It came with decent sized lag bolts, but only a quantity of 4 even though there are six mounting holes total (3) on each side. I used the upper and lower mounting holes. It’s definitely thick sheet metal material and don’t think it can easily be pried open with a screwdriver like some reviewers have stated. I’m mainly using mine to store keys for various cars/trucks that I own and was tired of them laying around in a desk drawer. The middle shelf area is occupied by the lock mechanism, so it was a perfect location to add 3M hooks and keys. I used name brand batteries instead of the no-name ones that came with it. Code was easy to set and has worked every time it’s been entered to open. Great product and value, and in the EXACT width I needed for my application!

So thumbs set for my sister and me last week after we installed it. And this morning. ALL THREE of my sisters kids thumbs OPENED!!! THE!!! SAFE!!!!!

Love this safe. Had problems with shipment being a week late but product was a 5 star.
