Uji No Sato Green Tea

Nowhere anywhere does it say the Source of their Tea, other than Japan. That doesn't tell you anything useful, and is very suspicious. "Uji" is in the Name of the Product, but that does not mean the Tea is Grown in and actually Sourced From Uji. Japan finally passed a Law saying you could not buy Tea from someplace else, and then just because your Processing and Packaging was done in, say Uji, claim it' was Uji Tea, which used to be the Practice previously. The actual Tea could be from anywhere else, and you would not know. I actually bought one from my local Asian Store, and it was Bad from the Word "Go". Looking at what was inside, all you saw was what I call "Dust" and "Floor Sweepings", with lots of Stems and who knows what else, that normally get sold to Tea Bag Companies, Real Cheap, and when I brewed it up, it was Very Cloudy from all the very fine particles floating in the Brew. It was looking Real Bad, and had No Aroma... None. I tasted it anyway, and much to my surprise, it did taste like Green Tea, but nothing wonderful... just ho-hum. At $20, I say, do not buy this, and "Save Your Money", just MOVE ON... !!!

I've been brewing Uji No Sato for years, the quality is very consistent. It is way overpriced on Amazon! Usually sells for about $8/100 grams. It comes in sealed, light proof bags inside a box. I brew it in 180 F water and drink at least 32 oz/day. Check pricing elsewhere before paying $20 on Amazon.

I bought this from a local Asian market and I'm loving it. I've downed two pots of it today at work.
