I liked the scent, it smells nice, just a little bit is all that's needed because it's so oily, it helped with frizz, but use too much of this product and it be hard to wash out for a couple days. It is a thick texture, touching it hardly makes a dent in the solidity, but is very very oily, putting too much will make the hair feel gross and hard to wash out.Usage is add the oil to the hair all over sparingly here n there, all hair will be saturated with oil, cover and then wait upto 20-60 minutes depending on damage and frizz level of the hair, then rinse out shampoo then use conditioner.I actually cheated this method and instead just shampoo my hair, and add a small amount from mid to ends, I use this as a leave in conditioner and it helped with my frizz, and because I didn't use a lot it's not oily and doesn't feel yucky. I use less than a pea size amount because it's potent.For reference botana oil comes from American palm tree extracted from the nut, it is known as American palm oil. Also no topical hair products can prevent hair loss, when hair leaves the skin it becomes dead cells outside the scalp, hair recovery comes from inside the body with a good diet and some exercise, but topical treatments like botana oil can help manage hair easier so you don't break it during styling/combing.

Since my daughter has been using this, she's found that her hair is shinier and also she has less dandruff, which I assume is to do with the moisturising qualities within this. It has a nice, natural nutty kind of smell which I really like. It's easy to use and quite relaxing too as it's nice to spend a bit of time on yourself. I have very thick hair and I've found that when using this my hair feels smoother and although it's thick it's definitely sleek. My daughter's hair is definitely shinier. It's easy to use and you don't need to use much so it lasts a long time.
