Premium genuine leather with good coverage!
I absolutely adore this premium leather case for my Colorsoft. I’ve been wanting to purchase Amazon‘s own brand of leather cases for a while now however the previous generation leather case was not up to par. I really like this one and I’m so glad I bought it. Yes, it does scratch easily, but I think that’s a given considering this is genuine leather. You even get the leather smell, which I love. As you can see from my photos, the top and bottom of the Kindle are bare, so you may want to take that into consideration if you will be using this flip case as your go to case when you are out and about, but other than that, the rest of the Kindle is completely covered. I also really like the fact that when I am reading, the cover of the case magnetically attaches to the back and it makes it much easier to hold the Kindle for long periods of time. In addition to that, it also does not add too much bulk or weight to the Kindle so Again it’s easy to hold for long periods of time. Overall, I really like this case and I am really happy with my purchase.

Great
This was a perfect fit for my new Kindle. Slightly expensive, but I really love it.

Cover for Kindle Paoerwhite
I like the look of a closed book better than an open screen, and I believe it probably gives more protection if dropped. I use my Kindle every day and pick it up and put it down frequently. If I’m in public I prefer having a cover to close. The cover itself, while leather, is not particularly fine leather. I was a little disappointed in the quality. Neither do I find it attractive, as I had hope it would be. It is suede and scratches very easily. If you just want to be able to close a book for privacy, it may be worth the price. For casual readers, probably not.

Perfect leather case--and it's supposed to look like that!
I love this case. The cover does not slide around the back when open like the cloth cover does. (The magnets are stronger?) Smells great. The feels are awesome--the vibe is very much like reading a physical book with a nice cover, I find it hard to put down. Also looks great on wood furniture, while it's waiting for you to pick it up and read. Perfectly fits my Colorsoft. The leather easily and quickly begins to look imperfect. That's exactly what you want if you're into leather cases. It's the beginning of your case breaking in, and the very very beginning of the patina that will develop. I've had my cover for two days. Look at my photo. This makes me happy. This is how the case is supposed to start looking. If that bothers you, a leather Kindle case is NOT for you. All those low-star reviews complaining about looks makes it very clear to those of us who know how leather works that the case is doing what it's supposed to be doing. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a non-pleather, real leather case for your 12th-gen. Paperwhite or Colorsoft.

The *ALMOST* Perfect case.
This cover is *almost* perfect. The texture and the feel are great. The fact that it gets patina from use, is a feature, not a bug. It adds just the right amount of thickness without making it bulky. It fits the Kindle like a glove and folds over for use great and protects the front amazingly well in my bag. I say almost perfect because I would have preferred some sort of stand feature, but I don't miss it. It is very minimalist by design and feels premium in hand. It looks great and I get asked questions about it from co-workers when they notice it on my desk. I still give it a 5 star rating because it made very well and does exactly what it is meant to do without bells and whistles. I just use a food out stand on my desk for a phone or tablet if I wand the hands free experience. It is a bit pricey, but I got one of the like new ones for less than half and I couldn't be happier about that. It was a customer return, but I honestly don't think they used it at all. I got it for my Colosoft Kindle and if you are investing that much in an e-reader, this is a small investment in its protection and overall esthetics. I tried a few other cases and NONE of them close to the feel and look of this one.

Nice cover that shows the imperfections of leather
This is real leather, and it shows the occasional scuff or scratch. It's accumulated a few since I took these pictures. That's OK, though. This is also on the pricey side for a Kindle cover, so I was glad that a used version was available for a huge discount from the full $65 price. As a cover, this fits perfectly on my Kindle Colorsoft, and slips both on and off easily -- but stays in place until I want to take it off. It doesn't add a lot of bulk or weight to the device, but does make it more comfortable to hold with a little more grippiness than the bare plastic offers. And, I appreciate that opening the case wakes up the Kindle, and closing it puts it to sleep.

I'm a Convert - Natural Reading Experience with Digital Convenience
I am a book lover and resisted the idea of an e-reader for years. However, the size of my physical book library was (actually still is) getting out of hand, requiring two rooms to house them all. In an effort to downsize, I decided to try the Kindle Paperwhite. I had tried the Kindle Fire years ago and had to get rid of it. It was simply too distracting for me to have my email and a bunch of apps on the device, and contributed to electronically-induced ADD. However, the Paperwhite's focus is reading books - period. It does have a browser capability, but it's not very easy to use and that is rather the point. The screen is fantastic, giving an experience akin to reading a paperback, or an old-fashioned newspaper. This screen is also why the Paperwhite isn't something you will want to web browse or try to do anything other than read with. This is a feature, not a bug. The battery is amazingly long lasting (I'm talking days) and charges like a conventional cell phone. No special charger or equipment is necessary. It's also small, slim, and fits easily into my briefcase for my morning commute. File storage isn't an issue, and you can easily access your Kindle library. I have also uploaded my own writing as Word files and have had no issues reading them. Finally, I'm especially fond of the leather case. It's wonderfully tactile, looks great, and allows you to open the Paperwhite as you would a conventional book, rather than a tablet. You can also fold it back and read like a tablet, too, if you prefer. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful soft, thin leather case. Recommend!
Purchased this case from Amazon Resale and it was definitely in “like new” condition. It’s beautiful and has a nice leather smell. As others have said the leather is very thin and scratches a bit but I’m good with that as it is characteristic of this type of leather. Lightweight and feels really soft to hold. I especially like the Ruby color as it has the Ruby color plastic frame instead of the black contrast frame that is on the brown leather cover. Overall, I highly recommend this case but read the reviews and keep your expectations in line with people’s observations. At $65, I think it would be reasonable to expect a more premium product with thicker leather but, at the resale price I paid for “Used-like new” condition, I think it is fabulous!

Lederfett benutzen + echt Dekadent :)
