Guaranteed amazingly delicious bread every time
We have baked 150 loaves of bread ( one every day since it arrived) and have had 148 amazing loaves. The two failures were down to user error, where we had forgotten to add the yeast / sugar and one time the paddle! Dough! ( pun intended). You simply cannot go wrong if you remember all the ingredients. Make sure you follow the ingredients order per Panasonic. For a normal loaf after making sure the paddle is in, the order is : yeast, sugar ( we use only Bulgarian unadulterated honey), flour (we enjoy mixing different flours ie white, wholemeal, malted, einkorn ), butter ( we use pure extra virgin olive oil), salt and finally lukewarm water. Once done switch it on and that's it. The Panasonic does everything after that. Four hours later you have an amazing loaf! Trust me the aroma of baking bread when you come back into the house cannot be beaten! From the video you can see the bread being kneaded. I measured the db. It is quite loud and so if you plan to use the timer and set it off so you wake up to a freshly baked loaf then be warned. I usually set to have a crusty loaf and this takes an extra ten minutes, but its incredible. If possible remove the loaf from the tin once baked as this allows the steam to escape and gives a better crust. Not once has the loaf failed to come out cleanly leaving the paddle in place in the tin and not the loaf. You will notice the paddle is a loose fit on the stem. It has to be like this to allow it to be removed easily. Just run water into the tin and leave and it will pull off. We use a little bottle brush to clean the residue off the paddle. The bread lasts two days. On day three it is a bit stale, simply because its not full of preservatives! ( buy your flour from small producers if you wish to avoid the folic acid being forced into flour in the UK). Its ideal for bread and butter pudding though. We absolutely love this ( for two people) and wish we had bought one earlier and we have bought the larger family size one for a family member who also loves the Panasonic. Honestly, dont umm and aaa buy this today. You will not regret it. Ps it makes jam, bakes cakes, makes pizza dough etc which you can see in the information from Panasonic.

Don’t hesitate..
Wow - This Panasonic Compact Bread Maker is a game changer for me. I’m fed up of buying bread that never tastes or toasts that brilliantly. Making my own is tedious and time consuming. Machine arrived day before yesterday, I read all the bumpf (yep - not very good instructions but there are more online) and made my first loaf last night. I did tweak the recipe from the start following tips from customer reviews who know lots more about bread making than me. I made 50/50 with Dove strong whole meal & white flour, bought on Amazon and instant Dry Yeast. I measured the flour and mixed the dry yeast all the way though that flour mixture and put that mix into the pan to achieve an even yeast rise ( I was crossing my fingers!,) thanks to the person who suggested this. I also reduced the sugar to a teaspoon and used sea salt. Then crossed my fingers that the water drizzled over the top of all the dry ingredients was ‘tepid’ - am NEVER sure about that. I baked ahead.. it was 10pm when I got it all ready, I chose programme 4, set the timer for 8 hours 30 minutes and pressed the ‘go’ button and went to bed. I heard NOTHING in the night, woke up at 6:15, went downstairs to a delici-oh-so aroma, made a cuppa and at 6:30 the bread machine beeped. I tipped the loaf on to the cooling racket et voila!! My photos are attached. Of course I sliced a piece while warm! Result, crusty delicious, ‘real’ tasting bread just like fresh from the Boulangerie. I will follow this up with comments on the loaf’s longevity and eating after freezing, and other recipes, but this is so easy and I love process… it will become part of my evening prep before bed, away from the TV & Tablet … wonderful.

Does it's job......
I only wanted a small breadmaker. This one does what it says. I tend to make a loaf every other night using the timer so when I get up in the morning I have a loaf for 2 of us. So why have I given it 3 stars? I'm fed up of seeing black kitchen appliances, dull and miserable looking. Dull dull dull. Also the indicator doesn't light up and there is no recipe book. I am not into downloading from a website and reading from my phone. I want a good recipe book. Also the instruction manual needs making better, I shouldn't have to go looking on the Internet to see if theres a timer setting for number 5 or whatever. So come on Panasonic, I dont want dull looking appliances, I want a display that lights up and I want a recipe book. A good one. Technology is not always the best way.

Machine works well
Very easy to use. When I got the order of ingredients sorted, also applied slight tweaks of, different to the instructions, measurements, but for flour. Yeast in the water (tepid, and I use less 150-160 ml) added last. I use less than a desert spoon of sugar. Not a tablespoon, as per instructions, half that in with the yeast and water. Other half, or less, in the dry ingredients go in first. Butter on top of dry stuff. I prepare, weigh them all, and the butter/marge, before I even measure the water, so it’s an orderly prep, for speediness of putting into machine, I thereafter got brilliant results. Crusty and delicious. Looks fab, tastes fab. Quality machine, quality bread. Risen well. Happy days. Note: To easily separate the cooked loaf from the tin and sticking to the mixing blade, as soon as the beeps go, put the tin into cold water, iced if you like, Hey presto, nothing sticks.

Ideal For The Single Person Household
This is an excellent bread-making machine for an individual household. I have owned several bread-making machines over the years; however, even the smallest loaf settings often produced more bread than I needed, resulting in unnecessary waste. The Panasonic Automatic Bread Maker (Model No. SD-PN100KXC) produces a loaf of approximately 250g, which I have found to be an ideal size. As with any newly purchased appliance, it took a little time to become familiar with its operation, although it is supplied with a reasonably comprehensive manual. I also found that the recipes required some adjustment to achieve a loaf with the desired texture; however, this was easily accomplished with a small amount of experimentation. Overall, I would highly recommend this product.

Perfect little bread maker for one to two people
Well I just love this little bread maker, which makes the perfect size loaf for one to two people and they turn out perfectly every-time. Yes, there’s not a lot of recipes in the booklet, but that’s because they are all online on the Panasonic site. Also, take no notice of the reviews that say it’s noisy. It only makes noise when it is kneading and it only does it at the beginning for a very short time and the end and it isn’t that noisy and the rest of the time it’s silent. If you’re looking for a mini bread maker for one to two people, that’s reasonably priced, this is it. I looked around and compared for ages and this one ticked all of the boxes and it takes up hardly any room on the kitchen side which is another bonus!

Very low success rate
This is a very disappointing breadmaker. It works about 30%of the time. I always follow the instructions and I’ve had more disasters than successes. Today I’ve had another sunken loaf and I’m fed up. My Lakeland one worked every time

Ear defenders needed for this brilliant little bread maker!
I don’t normally do product reviews but I’m so pleased with this mini bread maker. Very easy to use, love the small size and the colour black, which matches in with my other appliances. Perfect for 2 people and makes a perfect loaf with only 250g of flour. Pictured is the turmeric and cashew loaf, which I found on the Panasonic website. 3 words of warning …. 1) Instruction booklet is pathetically lacking in information and recipes (I guess this is for ‘eco’ reasons) 2) It is noisy, especially when kneading (we thought someone was trying to break into the house)! 3) When using programme number three, Basic Raisin it goes straight to rest not knead. It took much research to find that this is normal as certain programmes rest to allow all the ingredients to come to the same temperature before mixing/kneading. So despite the noise, this is a fabulous little bread maker for singles or couples. I wouldn’t recommend for families.

Great product
I’ve been using the Panasonic bread maker for about six weeks now, and I’ve made all kinds of breads—white, brown, even cakes—and every single time, it’s been a total success. It’s incredibly easy to use—no prior experience is needed to get fantastic results. Just add the ingredients, and it does all the work. I haven’t had a single flaw, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone—especially beginners—who wants great homemade bread from day one.
