Really nice, hand hewn look from a planer blade.
I am a Builder who go this planer head for some personal projects at home. I sometimes get large pieces of rough sawn boards or wood, and have used this planer head to make mantel pieces, Headboards, etc. it really does a nice job of providing a hand hewn look to the wood. its expensive, like most festool items, but it also is generally worth it as the the tools last, and work better than most other brands. Combine that with their customer service team, which has been awesome to deal with whenever I have had an issue and they really are a great company.

love love loved this tool. I used to have to toil to make my work seem like it was handmade. Festool offers a great high end tool for making it seem like I couldn't afford to make a smooth surface. I haven't made pieces look like this since the first time I ever worked with wood
