Cast Iron Wok with Handles (9" inch)

This is listed as a “wok,” although it’s really more of an Indian or Pakistani Kadhai. It’s quite heavy and gets VERY hot in an electric stove top. It is semi-seasoned upon arrival, but prepared uses with oil give it a more stick resistant quality. I’ve learned that not all cast iron is made really durable, and while this feels heavenly, it does not have the solid feeling some other better known branded products do. As a solid piece of cast iron using a pot holder or heat resistant gloves is a must. Its weight makes it quite sturdy to use. The shape also makes it very useful for deep frying. As with all cast iron, it is important to not use dishwashing detergents or a dishwasher. A quick rinse with hot water followed by drying with a cloth and adding a drop of oil makes it ready for the next job. Recommended.

This is as described. Very sturdy cast-iron wok. Perfect for a single person. Make sure you season it first as you should with all cast-iron and after cooking and washing and drying thoroughly, you should always rub a small amount of vegetable oil or olive oil inside the pan with a napkin or a paper towel to keep it seasoned and nonstick. I also think it’s a great size if you wanted to do a dip for a party and have it in a vessel that will stay hot longer, especially if you don’t have a heating pad or a small size crockpot. Like most cast iron, it is heavy but that’s just the nature of the product. Definitely recommend!
