A present for family member

To me these taste exactly like the ones I had in my childhood. I'm limiting myself because I could easily eat the bag in a few sessions. One taste and memories come flooding back. Suddenly I'm back in the 70s and my mum is nagging at my dad to let me have the Spogs from his Allsorts because they're the only ones I like. I'm also back in the nursing home, visiting my dad and taking his favourite sweets. Every time we'd open the Allsorts together and he'd dig out the Spogs for me. Thank you Monmore Confectionery. . My second order and the Spogs are totally different - one star removed. They look dull and are smaller in size. The jelly is harder, the flavour is stronger and the sugar balls are duller and smaller. They're from the same company so I'm rather confused. They're taking longer to eat because the mouthfeel is totally different and, in my head, they're not 'right'. I will be reordering, let's see what arrives with order 3.

Appalling product and appalling service. Inner bag was split and when amazon packaging was removed the contents spilled across the floor. Most of the remaining content were more like pastilles than as described, the taste was poor. Please note that there is a clever play on the title. These are not a ".Bassett" product but a Barrett product. My advice is steer clear.

Well received as gift and very tasty
