Great value and very warm sleeping bag
This is an excellent sleeping bag, suitable for fairly cold weather. The size of the bag is not excessive for a 3-4 season bag, and I am able to carry it comfortably clipped to the outside of my rucksack. The compression carry bag works well to keep the size down, and is water resistant. I had no issues with water making its way in even after walking in fairly heavy rain for an hour or so. It is a little hard to get it back in, but you just need to stuff it down and it'll go in eventually. This wasn't a major issue for me.It does a great job of keeping you very warm, and I would be happy camping in autumn and most winter conditions in this. The anti snag zipper is an excellent feature and works very well. The bag isn't as compact or light as some (considerably) more expensive bags, but for the price this is a steal. The hood is quite comfy, and I have slept in it without a pillow or any neck support without any issues. It is comfortable to sleep in and has plenty of room (I am about 6ft and fairly slim, and had room to spare).Overall I am very happy with my purchase, especially for the price, and this would be great for anyone doing some general camping or for festivals

It's what you should expect
The bag is what it is. The material feels robust, it's warm but I wouldn't want to winter camp with it during subzero nights. However, that doesn't mean it won't exceed expectations. The Zip is a weak point in my opinion and the bag could do with something stronger. It jams a little, but don't all? I can see these two factors causing the zip to break. It's not the smallest when compressed but it's no behemoth either. There are plenty of small, lightweight and warm bags in this category, but you're going to pay for performance. On it's own merits this sack is reasonable. If you're camping out of your boot there's no issue. The insulation feels compressed and hasn't fluffed up so the bag doesn't look as full as the picture. This could effect it's temperature range for comfort. I would need a second bag to make a comparison. At this price point you get a good looking bag that feels nice to sleep in, or under if conditions allow.

Viking Trek 350x review on Help My Scout Needs_____
The Viking Trek is a brilliant sleeping bag, and for £20 (at the time of purchase - July 2017) you can't complain. The build quality is of a high standard and it is very comfortable with plenty of space (our 6'2" sleeping bag tester Chippy) fit snug with a couple of inches to spare from head to foot and plenty of room but not excessive amounts around..The mummy design to the bag helps this 3-4 season keep you warm. It has been brilliant at keeping Chippy warm in his hammock and on a a camp bed over the summer, even when the tempratures dropped to low figures. It has yet to be trialed in colder weather but it can certailnly handle the Great British weather!!The hood features a padded section (the lighter blue part of the hood) which comes in handy for using as a pillow, not the greatest of pillows mind but a pillow is better than no pillow..A brillaint feature, especially for Beavers and Cubs is the antisnag zip!! If more sleeping bags came with these, life would be so much easier instead of Akela having to rescue a snagged zip before Horrace rips his sleeping bag!!The very few minor points to the Viking Trek. The velcro tab that closes over at the top of the bag to hide the zip when closed doesn't have the ability to double over on itself and close so the velcro hooks don't catch on blankets and jumpers etc....This next one is down to personal preference. It is a Right Hand Zip (RHZ) bag. I personally prefer a Left Hand Zip (LHZ) bag so I can use it as a duvet and pull it round covering my back (I'm a left side sleeper) but it is not a major floor and may suit those that sleep on their right or don't like to have their back fully covered at night.

I definitely recommend it!
