EISCO 500mL (16.9oz) Glass Reagent Bottle with Acid Proof Polypropylene Stopper, Borosilicate 3.3 Glass Labs

I bought this to store reactants in while testing minerals, and it has been perfect for holding the larger volumes (up to 500 ml). The glass is pretty thin but has turned out to be sturdy (borosilicate glass) and has not been damaged by reasonable temperatures used to clean the glass (say up to 180 F).The cap is extremely nice but it is only a stopper, it does not screw on, so ALWAYS pick up the flask using the glass and not the stopper (it fits tightly but you never know when either temperature expansion of internal pressure has loosened it).So far, no solution have damaged either the glass or the stopper, and I have only run into one instance of a VERY stubborn stain that I eventually dissolved away. The bottle requires a bent or curved brush to clean it (narrow mouth, wide bottle).

I really like these bottles. The seal well maybe too well. There thick easily handled and just look good. My only problem is when pulling the lid out it can be a little tough and then release real quick. When storing something like acid this can be dangerous. I've found d that just pushing the in just enough to seal and twisting and pulling at the same time when opening works well but still be careful. I would think using the same plastic on lid but making it threaded would be a better option. But all in all great product well worth the money. I've bought several.

Storing nitric acid

Absolutely the most reliable friendliest company ever dealt with in my life they are so respectful and so down to earth and every time I've called it's always been a good experience I haven't called a lot I've bought a lot of stuff from them so there's been a couple times out of a lot of orders that I had very small issue and it wasn't that the part was defective it was the delivery that was defective and they were quick to replace it with in a day.
