Very detailed nice 3d effect. The color is dark expresso. As described. I will order larger ones next time. The quality is good nicely layered for sturdy to stand on own. The lights are included No Batteries! The lights don't have any placement for non visible so yes the string hangs down. Only downfall. They are So great for gifts or decor. Thinking of centerpieces also.

I really love these beautiful decorations. They are much smaller than I expected, but it doesn't bother me. Just a surprise. The twinkle lights do not come with batteries. But, I wasn't going to use them anyway. Just be aware if you want to use them.

Don’t buy them for the lights. No batteries size recommended- button batteries and the lights are really cheap, But the design them self is beautiful.. will keep but will pitch the lights as I don’t want to figure out the batteries I should buy
