The Strokes -- Room on Fire: Guitar TAB/Vocal I'll start off by saying that if you are looking for a book to help you learn how to play the "Room On Fire" album then this book will help you, but, if you want to play the songs like Albert Hammond Jr. or Nick Valensi, then I would look else where. My whole reason for playing guitar was the riff in Reptilia at around 1:15 into the song. So obviously the first song I went to was none other than Reptilia, and everything was wrong. Even the intro to the song that should be played with the 7th fret on the 3rd string, 9th fret on the 4th string, and the 7th fret on the 4th string, as shown in the music video by the peoply that actually play it, gets moved up to the first couple frets on the 1st and 2nd string. So again, if you want to learn how to play the song then this book will help, but if you want to play it like it is supposed to be played this book will only cause confusion.

Great tab for great band and album. Efficient delIvery also. The tabs are understandable and easy to read. They are also precise which is why I bought it.

The moment I opened this tab book, I knew I might be disappointed. I had been waiting with this book on order for 5 months and when i got the call that it was in stock, i ran to the shop to get it. I opened the page to "Reptilia", and immediately knew it was wrong! Ive seen the strokes 3 times, and I know how to play this - i had hoped the book would help polish it off. The opened riff is played a as a chord (kind off), with the top E held. It isnt show as this in the book. Despite this, its pretty good, with some little inversions of some chords which ARE wrong, but sound good nonetheless. Not a bad buy. "Is This It" tab book is a similar affair. However, they dont do justice to the best band on earth...

Tabs seem to have chosen strange positions for some riffs that don't match how the sing is actually played. The print for some tabs is a little hard to read too. But all of the songs are there and the tabs are still decent

dont listen to peoples complaints about this books accuracy, its dead on. granted there are a billion ways to play one note but thats the creativity advantage of playing a guitar. it endorsed on the strokes website anyway.
