I58012 2.1 Multimedia...?power lead supplied won't operate on battries
The question about power. It comes with a AC/ DC converter plug ready fitted & is required. There is a USB standard size plug fitted and a jack for speaker outputOnly complaint is short length cable from speaker to jack and USB. The power botton is to rear of large speaker unless happy to use hand control to switch to standby. Note option 2 is Bluetooth no USB cable and if your computer not Bluetooth fitted you will need a small USB Bluetooth device. Cost few pounds I bought one and find Bluetooth telephone works great on Skype & Voip

Seems alright
I'm no expert on sound but these speakers sound fine to me. Admittedly, my previous speakers are about 20 years old or so, so an improvement is to be expected.Bluetooth capabilities, well if your device has Bluetooth it should work. Easy to set up, but obviously also works with auxiliary jacks. One thing I will mention is the remote... It's temperamental about being in clear, direct view of the sensor when you use it. It seems to be the only way to enable Bluetooth capabilities or adjust the bass and treble, and I think it may shut off after a period of not using, after which you need to press the volume controls on the front to make it work (I think, it just stopped working and after a bit of playing around I got it to work again.)Overall, they sound good, haven't explored its full breadth of potential yet but from the little amount of tinkering I have done there is a good range of volume, bass and treble. Remote could use work and bass/treble dials on the actual device would be useful but, for the price, I'm happy with it.

Not bad for the money!

Good sound cheap wires
Decent speakers, I use them plugged directly into my TV, the problem is the wires for the small speakers are terrible, straight from the box you have to move the wire around to even get any sound, so long as you never move the wire though they are pretty good

DO NOT BUY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
Terrible! Super hard to connect to via bluetooth. The cable that came with it never worked (I only got it to turn on after plugging my tv cable into it). The ad is misleading as the speakers are wired to the hub, the only wireless aspect is when/ if you connect your phone. On top of all that, the feet are hollow plastic and both snapped off while unboxing this item. It is shockingly bad and you should save yourself the money and get a good bluetooth speake. As for the sound quality, its like 2013 computer speakers at best.

Even at this price you're not getting what you paid for.
Turned up with both speaker bases broken. One speaker didn't work unless you vigorously wiggled the wire. When I did get them both working I found it really wasn't worth the bother. So horrifying was the experience that I upped my budget and bought a pair of Microlab Solo 9c instead. A much happier experience. Even my wife who didn't want to spend £50 would force me to buy another pair of Microlabs next time.
