I’ve been taking this for several weeks and have had major heavy periods for months, I just completed my last cycle and it was so light. No cramping and consideriably less PMS. Very happy with the results and will continue to use.

Nascent iodine is a supplemental form of iodine. Iodine is an essential mineral that the body requires for normal function because we do not produce it on our own. The high energy state of nascent iodine makes it a popular iodine supplement, compared to forms where the iodine bonds with potassium or sodium. A defining characteristic of nascent iodine is that it is atomic, with an incomplete number of electrons, which gives it a negative electromagnetic charge. For this reason, nascent iodine is sometimes referred to as atomic iodine, monatomic iodine, or atomidine.The body cannot function properly without iodine, yet it cannot produce iodine on its own. In the body, the thyroid gland uses iodine to produce the thyroid hormones T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (tetraiodothyronine or thyroxine), which affect metabolism, brain development, and immune health. This is one reason why I take supplemental iodine to help my thyroid as it affects so many parts of the body. In the past I have always use the one from the global healing center however thought I’d give this one a try, as it is a little cheaper. However comparing the two side-by-side this one is a lighter color and seems to be a little more on the watery side. My brand I used to use has a darker color, a little thicker and seems like it has more substance when it hits the water.So how does this one work? I can really only base my review on what this product “claims to be or do” and what ingredients are inside. I’m taking this product along with a whole hand full of other supplements along with huge diet and lifestyle changes in my goal to reach optimal health. Due to this it’s hard to say that one particular supplement is making a huge difference but I’d like to think that they are all working together towards one goal.PLEASE NOTE: The picture shows a One fluid ounce box and a Two fluid ounce bottle. I am accustomed to using Enviromedica which is obviously richer and more potent than this. This product is very sweet. Why? No sweeteners are listed. Real Nascent Iodine should be much darker in color with a distinctively strong iodine flavor. Not sweet.
