Boy, is this BLUE!Color aside, this is a nice, sturdy phone(despite a couple of month's use I haven't encountered the scuffing problem reported by the other reviewer). That said, their are a few drawbacks:There is no reset button on the handset. You have to hang up the receiver and pick it back up to make a second call -- an unnecessary hassle if you want to make several calls, and you and the handset have moved a bit away from the base.You have to be careful to lift the receiver straight up when you answer it == it's very sensitive, and if you make even the slightest horizontal pull you will disconnect the call.Despite the claim it can work as a wall phone, it really won't -- the receiver will only stay put in the desk phone mode.Despite the drawbacks -- and the omission of a reset button is a real problem -- this phone is significantly better than most corded phones available today.

I bought this phone because the GE phones I had were getting poor reception & static. I wanted something that was like the old-fashioned trimline phones I used to have. This one is a bit bulkier and lighter in weight than those were, but it works just fine. I like the light up keypad and the large numbers. There is no static, and the reception is much better than the phone it replaced. And, the cord matches the phone! I bought a blue one for one room and a green one for another room. Oddly, even though they're the same brand and from the same company, the packaging was completely different and the keypads are a little different. Definitely worth it if you're looking for a corded phone.

Cheaply made

Nice color for my kitchen. My old phone simply wasn't working good enough and this is very clear and the cord is short but you can always get a longer one if you need it. This works fine for me in the kitchen. I mainly like the corded phones so that when we lose power in New England during the winter months, we have a way to make calls. Of course once the generator is up and running everything else is too but it is nice knowing you have protection at a reasonable price and a nice look.

Bought these phones because I was tired of purchasing cordless systems every year or two that would stop charging. They work just fine, no complaints there, but they are absolutely weightless, hollow. The one I had when I was younger had some heft to it. This doesn't even stay on the bedstand when I pick up the receiver, it moves whenever you move the cord. Might not be a problem if it were screwed onto a wall, but a pain in the butt when lying on a flat surface. My daughter actually taped her down her desk. Ridiculous.

Positives: It works! Sounds great! But . . . CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP! Talk about some extremely light-weight, thin plastic casing that scuffs up at the slightest touch. It is not the prettiest telephone you could own, but at least it works.

The ringer sounds more like an alarm than a ring, and the settings are either way too loud or off. Sound is great for a 12 dollar phone and it looks very cute!

Great phone for blue color. The light is a center track verses the whole key pad being fully lighted. Still enough to guide your view in the dark. Overall great phone for the money.
