Missing 2 lids no option to contact seller, seems lots have same issue please resolve ?

There is a separate brown box underneath the plastic boxes which has the 2 lids in. Easily missed initially until you remove the plastic boxes and look inside the bottom of the big brown box.

Are these good to store food? I mean packs of pasta or pulses

These would be fine they click shut very well, so long as they were not stored in a damp place...

My boxes should have been delivered today. I received notification from Hermes that "they run into an issie". No idea which one & cannot contact them!

You can get them from really useful website just send them an email and they will send you some not sure how much. I'd contact the people you bought them from first ask them from the handle and see what they say.
