Value, easy to operate did what it was supposed to do
Purchased this unit in September of 2025 and it performed very well. The unit is quiet and easy to operate and removed moisture well. I also liked the Energy Star rating. Unfortunately in the spring of 2026 the unit stopped removing moisture from the air. I called Dave at warranty claims and he needed a few things from me to process the claim. Dave was very polite, helpful and understanding of my problem. Once I provided some photos of my purchase and of the machine's identification tag I was in touch with Mark at warranty claims. He accessed my claim quickly and knew right away where we were at in the process. A new unit was sent to me and I returned the malfunctioning unit to Waykar in the box. I appreciated the quick turnaround service.

Great Dehumidifier, Great Customer Care!
I've had this unit for about a year now and it's worked excellent at taking the humidity out of the air in the room. We live in humid Texas, and if we set the dehumidifier too low, we actually need hand lotion because our hands dry out. I set an alarm to make sure I empty the unit before work because without fail, it will fill the tub every day! The unit has an option of using the .6 gal tub or a direct drain. I don't have a basement, so I use the tank. I can see the water level from the front, and also remove the tank from the front which I love. The motor runs quietly, and even though it's setting in the living room with us, we've become accustomed to it and it doesn't bother us. The unit has a timer, several comfort settings, auto-defrosting, and a child lock to prevent accidental changes in programs. I also love that it has wheels and you can move it easily from one area to the next. I did write Waykar about a small issue I was having, and they were fast to respond and worked with me right away. I haven't seen many companies who care to help their customers when the purchase has been almost a year away, so that has really impressed me about the company itself. Excellent customer service, thank you! As far as the unit, you can't go wrong with this dehumidifier. It's a great unit, does its job, and will keep your home or area nice and dry. I've never had a dehumidifier that removes so much water from the air, and this one certain gives the others a run for their money.

Good dehumidifier
Purchased this dehumidifier in 2025. Worked great running consistently all summer and kept humidity down in whole house in Minnesota. Quiet machine and easy to maintain, move when needed. Had to reach out to manufacturer after taking it out of storage this spring after I noticed small area leaking. Waykar was great in helping with fast response and solution. Nice little machine..

Efficient, quality customer service
This unit is compact and efficient. I was instantly impressed by the ease of start-up and ability to start pulling moisture from the air. It consistently keeps my basement at 40% humidity and works quietly. I recently had an issue with the unit and reached out to customer support for help. They were prompt in their response, offered troubleshooting instructions and ultimately honored the warranty the unit has. This was one of the main reasons I bought this particular unit was because of the warranty and their customer service and I can attest that my experience coincides.

Good performance product and outstanding customer service.
I purchased the YDZ-120 on January 13, 2025. Living in California, I normally didn’t have to worry much about humidity. However, after switching my dryer ventilation to indoor exhaust due to an issue with the laundry vent, I started experiencing high humidity inside my home. That’s when I decided to buy this product. the prices are reasonable. Before using the dehumidifier, the indoor humidity level was over 60%. After using it, I had a dramatic improvement, with humidity dropping to around 40–45%. I typically ran the unit for about 4 to 5 hours, and by the next day, the water tank would be full. It consistently collected about one full tank per day, which showed strong and effective performance. The noise level is noticeable, but not unbearable. However, after about a year of use, I encountered an issue. The amount of water collected dropped to less than one-fifth of what it used to be. At first, I thought I had made a mistake, but the same problem continued for about a month. I then checked the warranty and contacted customer service. I was genuinely impressed with their response and support. They replied within one or two days and provided a clear and helpful solution. Honestly, I didn’t expect such a positive resolution for a product that had already been used for about a year. Overall, I was very impressed by both the product’s performance and the high level of customer service. Based on this experience, I would be willing to use this product again and give it a strong recommendation.

Impressed with Waykar Dehumidifier performance and service
I’ve been using the Waykar YDZ-120 Dehumidifier in my home for six months now, and I’m genuinely impressed with its performance and reliability. This unit has been a great solution to keeping moisture under control in larger spaces like our home in a very humid part of the country. First off, it does an excellent job of removing humidity - rated to take out up to 120 pints and cover areas up to 6,000 sq ft - and it noticeably lowered the dampness and musty odour in our home. I found it especially effective during humid evenings, and it maintains a comfortable air quality without constantly running. Operation is smooth and user-friendly. The controls have a clear display, and the option for continuous drainage via the included hose means I don't have to worry about emptying the tank daily. One thing I particularly appreciate is how quiet it runs compared to other dehumidifiers I’ve used. Even when in a common area, it doesn’t distract from normal activities around the house. The design and mobility are also solid making it easy to move around the house as needed. And because it’s Energy Star certified it does its job without significantly raising my electric bill. Pros: Very effective at reducing humidity Easy to use with great features like continuous drainage and auto-defrost Quiet operation Warranty offered by manufacturer for 12 months. When contacted, Waykar responds quickly and effectively. Cons: Unfortunately, after 6 months, the unit stopped collecting water. Reason unknown. Overall: Waykar responded to our issue immediately, honoured the warranty, and is replacing the unit at no charge to us. We are very pleased with the manufacturer and would recommend any Waykar product.

Excellent Product and Great Customer Support
I’d like to comment on both the 80-pint dehumidifier and the exceptional customer service. In fact, if I could give a separate rating for both the product and the service, they would both be 5-star! Here’s some context: I originally purchased the 50-pint home dehumidifier that was rated for 4500 sq ft. I used it for about 6 months when I started to have a problem with the automatic shut off. I contacted Waykar Customer Service who responded within 12-hours. While I was pleasantly surprised with their quick response, I was even more surprised and pleased that this response time was the standard and not the exception throughout the remainder of my correspondence with the Agents. Each email was signed by the Customer Service Agent so when I responded, I was able to address the agent by name and more often than not, the same Agent responded so I didn’t have to restart the conversation with a new Agent. While the Agent offered to replace the unit without any hesitation, I had found that the 50-pint dehumidifier was not sufficiently powerful enough to dry the lower level room I was using it for so I asked the Agent if they would be willing to let me pay the difference for a larger unit. They came back with a response that, of course, I was very happy with: they apologized that the product didn’t meet my expectation and inconvenience and offered to replace my 50-pint machine with an 80-pint that was rated for 5000 sq ft. I accepted the thoughtful offer and have been using the new appliance for the past several months. I have been very satisfied with the 80-pint unit: it is more powerful; it pulls more moisture from the room; it actually seems quieter than the smaller unit and seems more substantial. Of course, the 60+% increased capacity also means I don’t have to empty the water tank as often. My only feedback is that the removal and replacement of the tank requires some ‘jiggling’ to get it to seat properly. I would put it in the ‘inconvenient’ category vs. in the ‘difficult’ category. Bottom line: I read through a sampling of reviews and I’d echo most of the comments I read both in terms of the product and especially related to Waykar’s customer service. It’s not often when a company’s customer support team and process exceeds expectations…but in my experience, I can unequivocally they went ‘way above and beyond.’ They are the ‘real deal.’

Great for two years, then started freezing over
This unit worked flawlessly for about two years and then started freezing over. Granted, it does have the auto defrost feature but even with it running it just wasn’t pulling the same amount of water it used to. It used to pull enough water that I had to empty it about twice a day, now it’s about once a week. The temp and humidity hasn’t changed drastically in my house so it seems that something stopped working or a sensor is off. I contacted customer support and they totally earn a 5-star. Quick and responsive and were more than willing to make things right. I would give 5-stars but the unit not functioning after pretty much two summers is a bummer. If it weren’t for the excellent customer service, this would get not a great review. The unit is great and there is a reasonable chance I did something to cause it to malfunction but I did follow the cleaning and care procedures, so who knows…

Un nouveau déshumidificateur
J’ai acheté le déshumidificateur Waykar 80 «pints» modèle YDZ-80. Il a été commandé le 30 septembre et livré le 2 octobre. Bravo Amazon!!!!!. J’ai attendu au 3 octobre pour le mettre en marche pour m’assurer que le fluide caloporteur soit bien à sa place. Ce déshumidificateur remplace un vieux Sunbeam. Déjà en le déballant je m’aperçois que bien qu’il soit de la même taille, ce Waykar est au moins 30% moins lourd. Bravo Waykar!!!. Depuis qu’il a été mis en marche, l’appareil a réussi à abaisser le taux d’humidité de la maison (3500) pi2 de 66% à 49% en 3 jours et le maintenir entre 45% et 50% avec un minimum d’énergie. Quelle différence fait cet appareil «EnergyStar». Photo 1. Le panneau de contrôle rend l’appareil très simple à utiliser (photo 2). On peut même le faire fonctionner sur un horaire programmé pour être utilisé la nuit quand le coût de l’électricité est plus faible. Combiné avec la fonction arrêt-départ automatique quand le niveau d’humidité requis est atteint, on utilise une énergie minimale pour le maintien d’un taux d’humidité confortable. L’option d’un drainage continu de l’eau est aussi très «cool» (photo 3-4). Plus besoin de surveiller le niveau d’eau accumulé dans le bac et de le vider régulièrement De plus, le filtre est très accessible pour le nettoyage (photo 5). Donc, jusqu’à maintenant je suis très satisfait du rendement de l’appareil.

This dehumidifier does not work , at all . It cost me 500 dollars Australian. And zero dollars freight. Now I can't get a refund until I return it at a cost to me of $260au . Don't know what yo do .
