I bought this as a last minute costume. Nice, but you have to spread your arms to get the bat effect. When I was just standing, I'm not sure people knew what I was.

I got this in L/XL. It comes with wings and a headband. They're both well made. The wings are a soft, stretchy fabric that has solid seams and a well attached button. The headbands is also well made and well attached. This is an adorable costume. You can wear it with any black outfit and it will look amazing. I am SO thrilled with this costume and it's going to wear it so often. Adding the wings takes a simple "black cat" ear costume to the next level. Too cute!

For reference, I’m an eccentric Goth that typically wears a teen size S or XS. I ordered these bat wings (and headband) in a size S/M in the hopes of incorporating it into my standard wardrobe. The quality of the wings is high enough that it fits right into my wardrobe without looking too much like a cheap costume piece; therefore, they’re more than good enough as a costume accessory. The material is surprisingly thicker than most costume materials, and it has a good amount of durable stretch. It’s slick and soft on the skin, and it drapes nicely, exhibiting lovely, flowing movement. It does hold wrinkles, so I gently steam those out. With arms down, this looks like a flowing shawl with some interesting, angular cuts. To display the full wing pattern, I have to lift my arms way into the air in the shape of a Y rather than a T. The W arm-shape works quite well to display them too. In the front, this clasps using a sturdy snap that stays put all night. This does fit fairly loosely on me around the shoulders and in the arms (yes, these are actual, complete sleeves with the wing material falling downward from the underside of them). Thankfully, it’s not loose enough that it looks baggy or distracting, but I would have been happier with more precise sizing.The lightweight headband is a basic, cheap-feeling plastic that’s got lots of flex to it. It fits my very small head securely. On the underside, there are little spikes to hold it resolutely in place, and they do not feel nice at all scratching on my scalp. The velvet-like ears on the headband appear slightly smaller to my eyes than they look in the product images, and they’re filled with some fluffy material to give them a bit of extra dimension. You can feel a rigid frame inside the fabric, so their shape will remain steadfast. It’s clear that the ears are fastened to the plastic headband piece with hot glue, as plenty of glue clumps are visible, as are some very small, loose threads.
