Best money I've spent on guitar gear, kudos to Tusq.
This is two in a row. I recently bought an IYV Les Paul copy. The Gibson crowd will be groaning, but it's the nicest guitar I will probably ever own. Out of the box it was great. The factory setup was about as close as they could do on a production basis. A month or so ago, I got into guitar again big time, I have time now. I blew the dust off my 2012 Squire Bullet strat. I had set it aside because it had lousy intonation in the lower positions. I had tried a compensated nut, (earvana) but chords still just didn't impress. The strings at the first fret were just too high. I thought I would have to fix that, but before I did, I would buy a new pre cut nut so, I could save the original and hack on the replacement. It came and I got out my tools and started in. I had a tiny bit of flash sticking out, i removed that and did a trial fit. To my surprise and delight, the action and intonation were right on. I polished it a bit and glued it in. Marvelous. Flushed with success, I thought I'd dare to see if I could lower the action on the new guitar. So, again I ordered a replacement, this PQ-6643-00, the measurements seemed to match up well. This morning it arrived. The nut on the IVY came out without a fight or damage, I did a trial fit, it took a light push to go into the slot and I put both E strings in the slots and tuned them up. It was a little scary, it looked like it could be too low, but they didn't buzz, so I put the rest of the strings in their slots and tuned to pitch. Perfect, very low, but no buzzes and it plays like a dream. Open chords sound beautiful. I literally didn't have to do a thing, I wouldn't even dare to flatten the bottom. Either this is a stunning bit of luck, or they've really got this figured out to the hairy edge. I don't know how they can do that, but I'm glad they did. The improvement on both guitars is priceless if you've got a good ear. YMMV of course, but I'm a happy camper and glad to give them credit. I have two inexpensive guitars that play way beyond their cost for about $25 with no blood, sweat or tears. I was prepared for a struggle, but it was a walk in the park.

As described
Fit my PRS 245SE and, with a little file work, is set up perfectly. Sounds good and, along with an intense fret job, fixed this steal of a (blemish) deal I got.

The tuning stability gains I've had from the installation of this nut on two guitars is wholly worth the price of materials and tech work.Do it,-Joel

great product, great company
Graphtech helped me promptly and generously when there was a shipping problem. Unless you hire a luthier to cut and fit a bone nut, Tusk is the next best thing. Easy to adjust by sanding and easy to install.

I didn't have to file it at all, It just dropped in and fit. Sweet.
