AVOID!!!
This shampoo had my cat’s fur coming off after using it for one shower only. It has caused his fur at his tail stick together and made his body produced excessive oil. He eventually had to bite his hair off. It was painful to see my pet going thru this trauma.

Not smelly, stingy or scary, but doesn't remove dirt
My cat came home filthy with grey, greasy dust. When he hadn't managed to clean himself after a few days, I ordered this cat shampoo (Good value compared to pet shop's £12 dog shampoo) and braced myself for bathing an animal whose arsenal of weaponry can be terrifying to behold. Instructions: Prepare the area, ready. Have plenty of towels and band aids at the ready, plus the telephone number of the emergency doctor and a taxi company ... Cat was remarkably subdued whilst having his bath, he submitted to having his head and paws rubbed with shampoo. I found using a wet towel easier than pouring water over him. Eventually he seemed to settle and almost enjoy it. The shampoo is very thin and easy to sprinkle on the cat before rubbing in. Not much of a lather or smell. After being cuddle dried in a towel Cat groomed himself for an hour, then allowed me to brush him. Unfortunately, the grey stains remain. So, shampoo is probably great for low level dirt or just a bit of "bonding" with your cat (!!) But it doesn't cope with proper, dirty stains. Think I might bathe cat more frequently now we have reached a mutual understanding and have a bottle of shampoo to use up.

Beware that if this splashes it stains purple, not a nice shampoo for my fur baby.

Super gentle cleanser shampoo for cats
I am a qualified groomer and this product is up there with the more expensive brands when bathing cats.It has a subtle scent & is gentle on the skin. I always make a half shampoo to half water into a jug and stir up into a soapy solution this way there is no chance of any residue being left in the cat's coat, when rinsing. which will make can make cats very unhappy. Obviously cats are self groomers but sometimes they do stop grooming themselves for whatever reason and this is a great way to kick start them back into it, I wouldn't recommend using this regularly aa all shampoos have the potential to unbalance the ph of an animals skin. I would also recommend giving them a brush beforehand to help loosen up the hair and stop the shampoo from trapping in the coat.

It's actually very good
My cat had a nasty ear infection which required eardrops every day for a few weeks. I'm sure you can imagine how well this went. Very greasy eardrops and kept getting into her fur behind and under her ear (down her face), making it matted and just too much for her to clean up by herself.Originally I was using just plain water, and then a mild hibiscrub solution which the vet said I could try. But it just wasn't getting the grease out and she was irritating her ear even more by trying to clean it herself all the time.I had some reservations about this shampoo so bought it not expecting a lot. But honestly, it's been brilliant. I probably use about 1 part shampoo to 5 parts water - very mild, because I don't want to risk leaving any soap suds in her fur. I'm not washing the whole cat, just the greasy bit! Using a warm flannel and the soapy solution, it got all of the grease out in one go. I gently rinsed it with a clean, wet washcloth after just to be on the safe side. Towel dried and then combed her fur. It was like she'd never had eardrops! And because all the grease was PROPERLY gone, she stopped fussing at it and trying to clean it too.So, honestly, a brilliant shampoo which has degreased my cat and left her a lot happier. I didn't notice any overwhelming scent or fragrance (but then I wasn't using it for that). I'm hoping I never need to buy another bottle, but if I do then at least I know it does the job!

The cat doesn't hate it
While he certainly doesn't like bathtime, our kitten tolerates this shampoo. It doesn't smell strong, which I think makes it marginally less unpleasant for him. The lid is easy to open as well, so minimal time is spent trying to open the lid while simultaneously holding down a very wet (and very disgruntled) kitty.Only complaint is that it's slightly watery, so it slides out of your hand quite quickly. Often, we have to tip more on to the cat because we've lost some down the drain.

Highly recommend read full review!!
I have a big Dutch shepherd dog who moults like mad he has very thick hair which requires a lot of grooming all year round.I brought the moulting shampoo as it was only cheap so thought I’d give it a try.I wet my dog fully then used over one third of the shampoo because as I said he had a thick coat and was quite dirty from playing in the fieldsI worked it through and lathered it in all round and left it for a few minutes before I washed away.Once I dried him and his coat was fully dry I attempted to brush and comb his hair. This product did what it says it does help loosen the hair when moulting I often struggle when it comes to getting his hair from his undercoat but this made it so much easier.I have two different types of combs for his hair one for the deep under coat and the other for the top. After ten minutes of combing all his loose dead hair came out this would normally take me around a hour or so so I’m very pleased with the resultsHis coat is now shiny and smooth he feels like a puppy again I highly recommend using this.I have noticed they do different types of shampoo such as dirty dog I will definitely try the others in the future and keep using this!
