Bottom line - would recommendI seem to have to purchase new carving tools every few years.. in my kids hands they tend to bend or break since the saw blades are usually very flimsy. I saw this set and decided to order it, since it was less than I was used to spending and came with more tools.When the product arrived l, I was pleased with the quality...they are certainly a little thicker and sturdier than my old tools and have a much better handle (more ergonomic and better grip). The straight bladed tools are very sharp...so I would nit recommend thise for younger kids - though the saw blades I feel would be OK with normal supervision. This also comes with a zippered case for storage and a few stencils to get you started with some basic designs.Overall this is a great set at a good price.

We used this set today to carve four pumpkins. I’m used to the cheaper plastic sets that you can find in your local drugstore. Compared to those sets, which are basically single use, this set was an amazing step up. Each of the tools were sharp and strong - they didn’t bend while carving or piercing the pumpkins, unlike those cheaper sets. Also, the handles were really good quality and felt hefty enough to get a secure grip. They weren’t slippery despite how slimy our pumpkins were. I’m super impressed with this set and will definitely use it again next year.

For this price point, you can't beat the value! The kit comes as described and includes a nice carrying pouch for tools that seem solid made of metal and plastic, and a user manual. The stencils are nothing special, pretty basic jack o lantern face shapes on paper. But hey, I'm not complaining for all that, this is a deal! I would recommend.

This set comes with more tools than we need for basic carving. But I really like the more substantial handles and I find kids are able to use the tools better with the big grip. The tools are all a good size and have good stiffness -- they don't easily collapse when pushing through a hard pumpkin like some of the cheaper tools do. We don't really need a couple of the carving blades but I suppose they'd come in very handy for anyone who is serious about their carving. Note that the bladed tools are all quite sharp -- especially the curved one -- so not really suitable for children. But the blunt pumpkin saws and basic tools work well enough for kids.

These stainless carving tools are longer and better quality than the small sets we've bought locally in the past. Only the one tool with the curved blade felt even slightly sharp, and that one had a plastic blade guard on it. I tested the cutting ability and they cut well with a little pressure. They have a nice feel to them.We like the nice orange bag to store the carving tools in, although slightly disappointed that the metal zipper clasp fell off when we tried to zip it shut. We are anticipating a great pumpkin-carving afternoon using these nice tools.

Great quality. These are not like the ones you buy at the dollar store! These are sturdy and sharp. I would not recommend they be used by younger children due to the possibility of them injuring themselves. The set comes with a nice little zipper bag to keep them together and also some templates to help you make your Jack-O-Lantern. They list for right around $13.00 and I would say they are worth the money due to the quality of the kit.

This works very well to carve pumpkins and is a major improvement over the typical very plastic tools. Strong enough to remove and clean pumpkins out and very sturdy. Blades are decent and thick and remain sharp. Overall really pleased with this!
