This is a truly excellent product that fully lives up to expectations. The sound is big and the complexity of setup is small, although to make it work with my older Sharp Aquos TV, which lacks HDMI ARC, I had to buy a dongle — an HDMI audio extractor that pulls the sound out of the main source HDMI and shunts it to an optical jack that can communicate properly with the Bose device using the supplied optical cable. More modern TVs won’t need that. For those whose TV had great video but the audio sucks, this is the cure. It would be worth it for full price but it was nice to get this one as a Prime Day door-buster sale item. I know the days of Bose products being made in Framingham are long gone but this particular item is built in Thailand, which is an ally or something like one. As an ABC shopper I’ll settle for that.

Purchased as a donation for a care facility. The sound bar was worth the price. It was easy to install and operate, looks great, and brings all audio ranges to a level that makes it easier to hear and understand the program without distortion. Several people who have hearing aids but were still unable to hear/understand what was being played are now more engaged and hearing much more than they previously did.

I picked up the Bose TV Speaker to replace my old CineMate Bose system that finally died, and so far it’s been an excellent, hassle-free replacement. Setup was plug-and-play with my existing Bose TV’s optical out and it started working immediately. I haven’t used the Dialogue Enhancer feature, but even without it the speaker delivers clear, natural-sounding audio that suits my room very well. The unit is compact but sounds bigger than it looks. The bass has respectable weight for such a small speaker — not a home-theatre rumble, but enough to give action scenes and music some presence. The included remote is simple and intuitive, and overall build quality feels solid and understated like other Bose products.
