I used to use purple shampoos for my highlighted hair and it not only sub-par toned my hair but dried it out on top of what the bleach already did. This is a game changer! The toning is almost professional level and the conditioning is nice and moisturizing leaving my hair toned vs yellow and soft vs dry and brittle.

I was hoping for more with this product. It didn't lighten the hair as much as I would have liked and I felt like it was drying.

I was very disappointed in this purple gloss and toner from DP Hue. I had hoped this would tone down any yellow or brassiness between hair appointments. I initially tried it on a thick strand of hair with highlights and my base color for 5 minutes to compare the before and after results on damp hair. There was no change. I left it on longer, and again, there was no difference. I even tried it on dry hair instead of damp hair and there was again no change when I compared the two strands. Save your money.

This works really well. Leaves my hair feeling super soft and helps hide my grays because it makes the overall texture soft instead of as course as they normally are.

This dpHUE Gloss+ Toning Purple Conditioner is creamy and sticks to each hair well, ensuring an even toning. The formula is a very blue-purple, which seems to work very well to maintain an ashy, almost platinum blond. If you have a slightly warmer blond you may notice that this toner will cool it down, so be mindful of that. Overall I love the formula, however I am not a fan of the soapy, somewhat floral scent. Still, I think it is a good purchase and worth it even if I have to deal with a smell I do not love.

Based on how much I have used, this bottle will last quite awhile. The instructions were rather intimidating with the need for a 48 hour skin test. I shower daily, so keeping a patch of skin unwashed for 48 hours seemed impossible - so all I did was a skin test of a couple hours. The other part that was tricky was that they said to use on clean damp hair - which meant after the shower - but then I had to rinse it in the sink. That left me worried that I missed some and would end up with a patchy look. Based on my results, that is no longer a worry. The treatment left my hair feeling quite nice: soft and silky - very touchable. Color-wise, I did not see a huge difference. Mostly I was trying to tone down some post-summer brassiness where my hair had lightened from the sun. maybe I over-rinsed it, but the difference was very slight. Next use I will time it to be the full 5 minutes ( I did 4 the first time) and rinse my hair in the shower like normal. The only things I disliked were 1) I had a tough time getting the pump dispenser to work, and 2) it has a really strong perfume-y scent that was really overwhelming when waiting for the timer to end. Thankfully when the product is rinsed out the scent did not linger.
