Good Value - Make Sure You Get the Upgrades That Will Assure You That These Will Survive Normal Use
I purchased the the PowerDeWise Professional Grade 2 Lavalier Clip-On Microphones Set for Dual Interview, and I must say, I am impressed with its performance. This microphone set proved to be a valuable tool for my ZOOM calls as they give me freedom of movement. . One of the standout features of these lavalier microphones is their excellent fidelity. The sound quality captured by the dual lav lapel setup is clear, crisp, and highly professional. Whether I was using them with my iPhone or a camera, the audio captured was of impressive quality, enhancing the overall production value of my videos. However, I must note that after a limited period of use, the lapel mic holder broke. While this was disappointing, I reached out to the company, and they swiftly addressed the issue. The customer service team promptly replaced the clips free of charge, which speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction. To avoid such an issue, I recommend potential buyers to ensure they get a kit that includes the fix for the lapel mic holder. This will save you from any potential inconvenience and ensure that you can fully enjoy the benefits of this microphone set without any hiccups. Apart from this minor setback, the PowerDeWise Professional Grade 2 Lavalier Clip-On Microphones Set has proven to be a reliable and versatile choice for dual interviews. The noise-canceling feature worked impressively well, minimizing background noise and capturing clean audio, even in challenging environments. Additionally, the 3.5mm connection is compatible with a wide range of devices, making it convenient to use with smartphones, cameras, and other recording equipment. The long cable length provides flexibility during interviews, allowing freedom of movement without compromising audio quality. the PowerDeWise Professional Grade 2 Lavalier Clip-On Microphones Set is a valuable tool for content creators, interviewers, and vloggers. The fidelity of the audio is exceptional, and the noise-canceling capabilities greatly enhance the overall recording experience. While there was an issue with the lapel mic holder, the company's swift response and replacement of the clips without any additional charges demonstrate their commitment to customer satisfaction. I recommend this microphone set, but do make sure to get a kit that includes the fix for the lapel mic holder to ensure a hassle-free experience.

Excellent value, and only one issue...
I bought this dual lav mic kit for two reasons: 1. I want to create YouTube videos, but the mic on my DSLR just doesn't live up to how I think my audio should sound. 2. This kit is one of the most affordable lav microphone options, it gets good reviews--and as a bonus, it has 2 lav mics! This is the first set of lav mics I've ever owned. I've had my kit for 2 months (as of this writing), and so far I'm pretty happy. As for pros and cons, there's only one--and to me, it's pretty significant: For whatever reason, these mics pick up gobs of 'interference noise' which results in a horrible "hum" in my audio recordings. My DSLR has a headphone jack, so I can monitor audio during recording. The hum comes through very clearly--so I did some experimenting... I discovered that when the microphone cables are near computer monitors, computers, lights, other wires--basically anything electric on my desk, they pick up very loud interference. I don't know if all wired lav mics do this or not--but it does happen with my PowerDeWise kit. As a result, I tried recording in a location with no electric stuff anywhere near my camera or microphone cables--and the hum vanished. Now for the good stuff-- These mics sound great. The audio quality I get with these mics in my DSLR video recordings is MUCH better than the on-camera mics. I'm not an audio expert, so I'm not sure how to describe the sound, but these PowerDeWise mics have a decent sound range, that results in a pleasant, slightly muted sound, with good low tones. There's not a lot of "S" hissy sounds. If I remove the foam windscreen, I pick up more "S" hiss sounds in my voice, but it's minimal. Overall, I love how these mics sound. The alligator clips on the mics are a good solid plastic, and they have a nice solid "bite" to hang on to clothes. The clips don't have a "broadcast loop" clip--so if you need to set these up with that loop, you gotta loop the wire through the alligator clip the old fashioned way. The kit itself is also great. It comes with everything shown--2 mics with decently long cables, 2 extension cables, one Y-splitter (so I can record interview style videos with two people on one camera), and one small adapter cable so I can connect the mics to my camera. Each cable comes with little hook-n-latch straps, so I can coil up the wires, and secure things neatly. The kit also comes with a nice little zipper bag to store everything in, a microfiber cloth, and a couple of extra foam windscreens. PowerDeWise customer service really impressed me. Right after I received my kit, I had questions, so I emailed PowerDeWise. They replied promptly, and were very courteous and professional. They not only answered my questions, but they took extra steps to ensure my needs were met. I haven't seen that level of customer service in a long time. If you can work around the 'interference noise' these mics sometimes pick up, you'll love this kit. The price is right, the kit has everything you need to get started, and the sound quality is so much better than any on-camera mic I've ever used.

Great for hiding under clothing.
Microphones are not headsets! And your stash of old audio output cables are not going to work. It is important to use the included cables, Y connector, and the 4 pin to 3 pin adapter when connecting to a PC, digital recorder or camera audio input. The 3.5mm plugs from the mics are a 4 contact TRRS type. The signal from the mic is presented on the S (shield) pin, and ground is on R2 (the ring closest to the shield). R1 (ring closest to tip) and T (the tip) are not used. Inputs to consumer devices are often 3 pin TRS (Left channel on the tip, Right channel on the ring, and ground on the shield. When it comes to 4 pin TRRS inputs, well it depends. Apple devices seem to be T=Left, R1=Right, R2=Ground, S=Mic. Non-Apple seems to be T=Left, R1=Right, R2=Mic and S=Ground. Those of us familiar using the shield as ground for audio out, might think that Apple is nuts BUT the Apple input scheme is closer to the typical microphone/instrument configuration. This flip of the mic/ground connections might not matter, but if you find yourself troubleshooting the source of hum/noise etc. keep this in mind. What all of this means is that you need to keep your box of old audio cables tucked neatly away, far from these excellent mics, and use the cables provided. This includes third party TRRS to TRS conversion cables/plugs. They will not work! Lastly, my learning from making a lot of mistakes, revealed the obvious. These mics have one signal therefore are mono; both of them! The signals presented on the 3 pin TRS that you plug into your recorder are also mono. I am not sure if this results in a balanced input (read up on balanced / unbalanced inputs if you need a cure for insomnia), but if you are thinking you will get a left track from one mic and a right track from the other, sorry! I had a problem with my Tascam DR-05 (old version) with the cables, Y connectors, and TRRS/TRS provided with these mics. The DR-05 Left track was being recorded at a higher level than the Right. Maybe that had something to do with the phantom power from the DR-05 (which must be turned on). Selecting Mono or Stereo on the DR-05 didn't matter. So I contacted the manufacturer for support. Their support was excellent and prompt by the way. Within a few days, I received a new Y cable. Beats me what the difference is, but the replacement Y cable solved my problem. Now both the L and R tracks recorded on the DR-05 are the same level. Overall, I am thrilled with the mics and the support from the manufacturer. I hope my fumbling through all of this, and this rambling review might be helpful to some others.

Amazing!!!
I'm in my last semester of college and I'm doing a bunch of cinema production courses. Since classes are all remote this semester, I've had to procure my own equipment, and lavalier mics were first on my list to buy for our documentary unit. I've been using these mics with a Zoom H4N and it works beautifully (just turn on the plug-in function and use the 4 to 3 pin adapter). The sound quality is wonderful, the set is well organized, and it comes with everything you need. I especially love that it comes with a little carrying pouch that fits everything in it, a splitter, cable extenders, and the prong adapter!! It's very easy to use and sounds great. If you are looking for professional-sounding audio (and easier file management), I recommend plugging these into an external audio recorder where you can monitor the sound and recording levels. That's why I'm so happy this came with the prong adapter! Very versatile. Overall I really recommend this kit. I'm very excited to use them for projects.

Nothing comes close to this quality & these features at this price point!
Finding a product that is simple without sacrificing quality is very difficult! Why? Most companies assume that I want simple because I don't know anything. In fact, I want simple, because it doesn't need to be complicated. This product proves it's possible. The system has all the features I was looking for in an uncluttered, reasonably priced package. Because there are two individual extensions and individual mics, I have the versatility I was looking for. The system works for me, instead of having to work around the system. Nice! The sound clarity is markedly improved from what I had and background noise is greatly reduced. Will it eliminate all background noise and sound like a $500 mic run into a $1,500 mixer? Nope. But if you want to improve the sound quality of your videos or podcasts simply and affordably, without the need to lug around a flight case of equipment and do a ton of post production sound enhancing, this is your solution. Did I mention that the mic capsule isn't plastic? Huge plus!

Quality is decent, but nothing to minimize handling noise, and TRRS woes
my first criticism is the handling noise. If you so much as gently stroke the cable, it picks it up. This makes these mics really bad for when you have to hide the mic in somebody's clothing. I have tried various encapsulation and shielding techniques and none of them have worked. Could be because I am inexperienced. But I would warn potential buyers of this. If you aren't trying to hide the mics, and put them on so nothing is rubbing up on them, it's a moot issue. The second gripe is that the cable plugs are TRRS, and depending on the device you might have issues. I tried plugging these into wireless lav transmitters and got no audio. Luckily, this set include one TRRS-to-TRS cable, so I was able to troubleshoot and that was the issue. But it only includes one, so I had to buy more. If you are planning on plugging these into something like a cell phone, you shouldn't have an issue. Laptop, camera, sound recorder...You might need the conversion cable. OK, how about the pros? Well, they sound pretty good to my ears. Not a ton of self-noise, bass of serviceable (I mean, it's not great but what do you expect from a lav?). Also, the cables are long AND extension cables are included. It comes with extra pairs of wind muffs, which is handy because those things can sometimes pop off and fall into inter-dimensional rifts. Also, the magnetic clip is handy and the magnets are strong enough to not worry about them falling off.

1 out of 2 mics stopped working and the seller did not respond to my message. Product returned.
Initially I thought this was a good deal for sufficient sound quality. Extension cable was handy because I needed it. But soon after I started using it 2 things happened. First, 1 out of 2 mics stopped working. I'm not sure if the flaw was in the mic or cable. But it no longer recorded any sound from it. So, I've contacted the seller via amazon and asked if they could simply replaced 1 mic instead of replacing all or return all. The seller did not respond, even after several weeks. So, I'm returning the whole thing. Second, as I've been using the other mic that's working, I started to notice that it's picking up quite noticeable noise. My guess is that the cable is picking it up, and maybe because there are so many connecting plugs in between the camera and the mic (3.5mm adaptor, extension cable, mic cable, etc. I didn't notice it initially because I was recording on the veranda and there are fair share of ambient noises. But when I tried to record in a quiet room it was very noticeable. So, if your recording session were noise sensitive, you will notice it.
