Nokia C1-01 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Dark Grey

If you want the very basic and fully functional handset to simply make calls, text and phenomenal battery life, then this is the phone you should be looking at getting. Quite true, no iPhone beater it is but it is as good as my iPhone 4s for call clarity etc.. Bought it for my wife's work mobile which she needs a very good battery efficient phone so it's always going to be a basic one as the new models now are very hungry on battery power due to the extensive non phone functionality of them, but this is a great little phone which lasts a full day easily with major usage throughout the day and we haven't even seen the best of the battery yet as the more you wear the battery down real low initially, it pays dividends later on as the battery acclimatises to your usage..The back casing of the handset is also very "grippy" to hold and even though the keys are flush with the face of the phone it does not make it more awkward to use, the keys are very adaptive to the way you type, so all in all guys this is a real bargain, again if that's all you need it for is basic calling etc..

This phone is a good little phone however I purchased this for a present from 7day phones,I recieved the phone not able to work properly when I requested my money they just sent the phone n AZ xl to me. Would not recommend.

This must be the finest Nokia i have owned up to date. Previously i had been using an entry level Nokia which was purchased at around £20, although i upgraded to this model for greater speed and consistency. The general set up of the phone is very straight forward and unsophisticated for a buyer who just wishes to have all the standard features for calling/ texting. The screen is a good size and the keypad clear and concise. If i had to scrutinize the phone in any way it would only be regarding the quality of the camera which appeared to be very significant in it's physical make-up on the back of the model. Picture quality isn't great. However, the rest of the phone's features pretty much overshadow that small dissapointment.

I have been delighted with this mobile, which is ideal for just phone calls and texts. I do not need a phone to access the Internet etc. Very clear calls, easy to use and set up. Radio is useful feature. I did not fully understand what "Sim Free" meant, but now realize it quite literally means no Sim card included - the important part which gives you your phone number and holds all the important stuff like contact phone numbers etc. So had to go down to the local phone shop, slightly embarrassed I had not bought the phone through them, and purchased a Vodafone Sim card for £5 and the guy kindly got me going. Put £20 on the phone, but when I got home wished I had used a "Freedom Freebee", with Vodafone, which seems better value than an ordinary top up. But finally to the phone - great value, great small phone and very pleased to recommend it. Amazon were excellent with everything.

Good for phone calls and the battery lasts a week easily. The keypad on the first one cracked after a week, so they sent me a new phone. The camera is very low resolution and probably not worth having. The clock and the alarm are both a bit unreliable. The clock loses over a minute a week. Press the red button and sometimes the clock is a couple of hours slow, press it again and the time is correct - odd. If I switch the alarm clock off 10 minutes before it is due to ring, sometimes it rings anyway - annoying. But as a phone it is good.

I bought this as a safe phone - one that will not be used to surf the net (a task at which it is practically useless) but one that is reliable and has a long battery life. Very disappointingly I have to recharge the battery at least two times a week and I hardly use the phone. My previous 'antique' Nokia 6070 held a charge for a fortnight. The camera on this is also mediocre.

I am not a big mobile phone user, therefore something like an iphone or Blackberry or any other high spec phone would be wasted on me. The Nokia C1-01 is ideal. It does what I want it to do, it is simple to use and probably the best basic mobile i have owned.

As a previous owner of Nokia 3210 and 3310 handsets, I had no hesitation in selecting two more Nokia handsets for day to day use. Pro: Easy to use Good battery life compared to my smartphone Radio worked great MP3 playback worked well with all the MP3s I've tested it with, upto 320kbps. Con: I ordered a pair of these handsets in Sept '12. At time of writing (Dec 26th, '12) however, both handsets have failed and I'm seeking a refund.

Conoscevo già il Nokia C1 che ho utilizzato per quasi dieci anni con grande soddisfazione. Rispetto al precedente (che pur se con qualche danno di "carrozzeria" va ancora benissimo e che continuo a utilizzare) manca la possibilità, se non mi sbaglio, di personalizzare le suonerie dei chiamanti inseriti in rubrica; peccato, perché è una funzione molto utile, dando la possibilità di sapere chi ti sta chiamando senza nemmeno vedere il display. Per il resto il telefono va benissimo, la batteria dura a lungo e la qualità costruttiva generale mi pare veramente elevata..

Pour téléphoner et recevoir des SMS c'est le portable le plus ludique et le plus fiable que je connaisse. De plus il est tellement petit et super léger. Je le change tous les cinq ans, toujours le même modèle. Jamais de réparations. J'ai une mini tablette en plus pour les photos et voir les mails en plus grand lorsque je suis en voyage. Je ne peux que le recommander aux personnes, qui comme moi, n'ont besoin dans la journée que de téléphoner ou de recevoir des messages. Il est parfait

Très bon produit, le seul problème qui n'est pas signaler c'est que la prise du chargeur est une prise anglaise et non une prise française.

C'est un téléphone qui me convient. Facile à utilisé, pratique et discret. Par contre le prise du chargeur est inadapté.
