Pretty ugly good.
I have to admit I was skeptical about this dimmer switch. It looked like it was going to be bulky and ugly and have a big Rudolf-esque red light on the plug part. The reality is all those things are true and yet somehow none of it matters because the world of non fitted dimmers is not a big one. Either they are Alexa based, which I didn’t want, or they are the long cable and slidey switch variety, and I refuse to have more cables. This plugs in and then you attach the remote to the wall or don’t - it comes already paired. The red plug light is only on when your appliance is on, so if you are worried about it glowing red like HAL watching you in the dark, worry not, and the red nose doubles up as a kill switch too. The remote looks good enough, kind of like a wall fitted light switch, but the buttons are not the most receptive to a push. This is not a deal breaker though and the package comes with a ton of spares, which was thoughtful. 3 or 4 different dimming settings are available, although the brightest is dimmer than if the appliance was plugged directly into the wall - but not by very much. $25 isn’t my favorite price for plastic junk, especially if you’re thinking of getting a few more, but these do work and they feel pretty well made and would seem less prone to burning down the house than other junky things available. As ever one wants to keep a regular feel of their temp and not overload your sockets. A good buy.

Excellent wireless dimmer
Exactly what I was looking for. Perfectly dims dollar GE 40w equivalent LED bulbs, so it should be great in most applications. 8 brightness levels are more than enough, and it dims like expensive digital dimmers with the soft fade. This was my answer to the $50 smart dimmer outlet and $8 smart bulbs that leave a lot to be desired.**Update** - After leaving the dimmer overnight, the next day the lamp would not turn back on. I found that I had to plug the lamp into the other outlet without the dimmer, then back into the dimmer to resolve. It ended up being the cheap Great Value dimmable bulbs. Bought GE equivalents, and it works flawlessly.

Wow
This is one of the best products created. I fastened a chandelier above my staircase, ran the wire through the wall, attached an electrical plug to it, then plugged the receiver from the Instapark remote kit into the electrical socket, then plugged my fixture into the Instapark remote. Complete control accomplished. The control dimmer works great allowing me to adjust the lights as necessary. The price is very reasonable.

Even if doesn't look durable, works perfectly
After tried twice to pair the remote control to the plug with no luck, I tried with another battery and it worked. So if it doesn't work, change the battery. The one in the bundle wasn't good for me. Fortunately, I've ordered the package with the hw and 6 batteries. Shame that the keys aren't sturdy, it looks like they could be broken after a while. This is the only reason I can't give 5 stars.

Perfect!!!
Exactly what I needed. I have a vacation house bedroom with the only switched outlet attached to a sconce on the same wall (dumb) so I need a lamp on the nightstand. This works perfect. I hung the remote plate right next to the existing switch plates right next to the door and since it’s magnetic I can take it to the night stand when I got to bed. It dims nicely, remembers what level you turned it off at, AND slowly brings the light up gradually (yet quickly) instead of directly on so it adds a bit of luxury feel.

Works my chandelier..
Had no option for a wall switch for this chandelier. Threaded the plug through a swag chain mounted to the ceiling, and runs down the wall. Now I can control it through a regular outlet. Really solved a big problem with lighting in my room.my bulbs look brighter before I used this adapter.I recommend buying the highest and brightest LEDs you can get for your fixtures rating. So the slight reduction in brightness isn't a problem.

Breaks after a month or two!
I ordered this dimmer the first time, and it lasted a month or two and then stopped working. Sent it back and re-ordered it, hoping it would work and that it may have been a “bad egg” the first time. Well, this is round 2 with this dimmer and it broke-AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Flickering lights
I liked this because I did not have to wire anything, but ...When the unit is left on for too ling the lights been to flicker. I think this issue is related to the unit getting hot When it cools down it is OK. I would NOT buy this again! I would prefer a hard wired switch dimmer; more reliable, This item is made in China, Buyer beware.
