It is easy to use.You move the back wire "kick stand" to rest in the back notches of the back flap. There are several notches, making this stand adjustable to several different angles.It has some metal page holders on the front of the stand. You can flip the page holders up to hold the book open. The page holders are useful when using this stand with a music book or a cookbook.The wood is smooth and finished well. Overall, this stand is built well.This is a handy book stand to have in a kitchen. It can also be used as a tablet stand.

This is a sturdy bamboo stand that has many uses. The kickstand allows you to adjust to many different angles, and if you're using a physical book the metal arms can hold it open to a specific page if you wish.It would be great to hold a cookbook or tablet with a recipe while cooking, but would also work for reading a paperback book or holding sheet music. The pen holder comes loose in the package so you can attach it wherever you want (or choose not to use it). Plus it's nice looking and seems to be well made. The price isn't bad either, this is a good value!

This book stand works well for the price, for books of a standard thickness.The "arms" that keep the pages open have protective covers on the ends. They are quite snug. It is impossible to turn pages with them in place.The support piece is fine, but it doesn't run the full length of the stand. It works on a table, but you would not be able to use this on your lap. Also, it does not have any type of protection on the bottom (felt, non-slip feet) so use care if placing on a wood table.Some of the edges were rough and will require a little sanding.The hinges to lower the "shelf" work well, as does the "bracket" which rests on the support stand in back.It's lightweight and folds up to take up very little room. You will have to be careful when storing it, because as that back support doesn't run the full length, it pops open when you move/carry the stand around.Decent product for the price. Would be a good gift for cooks.

I love the style of this Readbliss bamboo book stand. It’s wide enough to hold a large book, the springy metal arms hold the pages securely, even in the breeze when I read on the front porch. The angle is easily adjusted, and wood is so much more attractive than metal or plastic. Thoughtfully, they included a pencil holder than can be stuck to the side of the stand, but it’s a bright green, and in my opinion rather ugly (but thoughtful). I do wish the logo was on the back side, rather than on the front, but that doesn’t detract from its usefulness. My favorite book stand.

I ordered this to use as a combination book/cookbook/ipad holder to use in my kitchen and I am positively thrilled with it. I probably have ten different book holders that are either too small to work well or that aren't adjustable or that just got dirty too quickly. This is beautiful, wipes off easily, and is large enough to hold my tablet and keyboard, a cookbook or a thick novel - it only arrived yesterday and I've already used it for all three purposes. The wood is nice, smooth and elegant and the angle of the stand is adjustable, making it easy to change from one viewing angle to another! This would also make an excellent gift to just about anyone!

I am a teacher and I need to connect my Surface Pro to the Smartboard for lessons. I requested this because it's a nice, solid stand to hold the computer. It's adjustable and solid enough to withstand being knocked off its perch. The computer connects through an HDMI cable (which, of course, needs an adapter). I attach a hub to the back of the stand and also wire it for power. I can leave my computer on the stand all day and it won't die and we can use it for the lessons. I love this thing. It really does make my job easier.

This wooden stand has many uses. So far I have used it to support my kindle and larger books. It is harder to use it for my paperbacks. I enjoy that it can be folded down flat for storage. It has adjustable angles and page holders. There is also a fluorescent green pen holder that can be attached. I don't use that. The holder does best on another firm surface like a table or counter. I don't like putting it in my lap. Recommended.

I never thought I would want or need one of these. But it actually makes reading more comfortable when you’re sitting at a table or desk. It seems reasonably well made and is lightweight and portable. I have used it for reading books and my iPad. It would definitely make it easier to take notes. I imagine this could be used in the kitchen or anywhere you need a book propped up.
